  1. Hey guys,

I just picked up a used Marell digital level and frame line generator. I am using a Panavision lightweight II

and am experiencing some noise. The framelines break up every 4 seconds when I run the camera. Is this because camera power and video are not being shielded well? What can I do to prevent this? Has anyone experienced the same thing? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

    Problem solved, bad cable :)))

  3. Hi

Have been working with this device on TV shows an football matches for two years and find it very nice.

You have very compact zoom control that works accurate and affordable price at the same time.

    Best

    Hey Thanks everyone,

I just received the unit a couple of days ago. Really compact, seems cool. The problem that I have now is that the 8 pin to 12 pin cable is on back order. Does anyone have an extra 8 to 12 pin for fuji focus I can borrow? Or even better can anyone make me one by Friday? The one I have ordered from B&H Photo won't be in till next week. Cheers

  4. Hey has anyone mounted and used a MANFROTTO 521CFI zoom control. I don't know how new this product is? Just saw it at B & H photo video. I have a multi camera show coming up and need a controller for zoom; both for Canon and Fuji, 8 or 12 pin. Not sure which one, but looks like this does it all.

    Appreciate any info, thanks.

  5. Hi Taj and everyone

I was watching your show last night .(in Australia)

The story line Patrick and the team investigate a cult (scientology)like religious group that may be connected to a murder.

In one scene Patrick walked in on Malcolm McDowell caractor as they were shooting a commercial for the cult shot by a steadicam operator moving around this stage .

Nice Cameo was that you? He was an operator not an extra.

I would just like to add to everyone else All the ops on this show are of a very high standard.well done.

    Louis

    Hey Louis,

hehe...yep that was my cheesy cameo

they cut out my close up because I just could not stop laughing

    cheers

  6. If you haven’t already, check out The Mentalist on CBS. The operating is absolute poetry, and reason enough to watch the show. Taj Teffaha appears to be the only operator credited. Kudos to him. If any others have worked on it, kudos to them as well.

    Alan

    Hey Allan,

Thank you so much for the props.

The other operators have been Norman Langley, who retired late season one. That's when I bumped up from "B" op/steadi and became "A" op/steadi. Bela Trutz, Josh Medak, Charles Papert, Stephen Sheridan, Steve Smith and now currently Dominic Nepolitano. All lead by our illustrious leader, D.P. Geary Mcleod. Second unit operator has been for the most part Micheal Stumph. Season two for a some episode D.P. Micheal Goi.

Cheers and happy to hear you enjoy the show.

P.S. humbled that my buddies, who also do steadicam, are willing to come out and play with us: Bela, Charles, Micheal.
