  1. So Brant - is that why the two 12 packs of Coors Light always end up in the back of your shopping cart? Best, Will "couldn't resist" Eichler
  2. EC, Fracol is right, you can't go wrong with ACF50. It's the real deal. Costly but will take care of your gear. My arm just got a good going over after the last cleaning. Best, Will
  3. Jess, Give me a ring. I have a heden that I could let go of to help you get started. Sounds like Grant can give you a great price on the Bartech! I'm off tomorrow, so shoot me a call then if you can. Best, Will 818-515-0239
  4. When you mark you system up as Jerry recommends, if you don't want to scratch the annodizing - I've had great luck marking with a paint pen. It lasts better than sharpie for me. Best, Will
  5. FYI to all, I tried to call Derrick last week and his message said he was on vacation through the first part of May. If it's not pressing, you may want to wait to ring him til after than. Best to all, Will Eichler
  6. Mike, I did last year's W'mania in Detroit. Sounds like the same gig you had. Can't wait to see you pics. Not a chance in the world my AC could have shot anything like that. When not pulling focus, he spent the rest of the time appalled at the number of people who seemed to actually still think this was all real. Glad you enjoyed. So did I. Best, Will
  7. To chime in on Brant's excellent comments, I use a PFD when I shoot Tyler mount stuff for boating companies that is a CO2 inflation system. Pull the ripcord and it inflates. It stays nice and small otherwise. It comes to mind as, though I've never put my vest over it, the best candidate I've seen for a small PFD until needed. My chopper pilot owns them so I don't have access to them for a brand name. Until deployed, they look like a pair of suspenders with a waist strap connecting them. Best to all, Will Eichler
  8. Dave, Thanks for the post! I was going to shoot you an email. Best, Will Eichler
  9. Folks, While we're at it, maybe Janice would be kind enough to post one of her old "Barbie" adds as well. Another classic. Best to all, Will Eichler
  10. Stefan, What is the price range they are talking about? I'm still using a Mod 2000 and want to upgrade but have not been thrilled with what I've seen from the Canatrans near me. Thanks, Will Eichler Detroit, MI
  11. Thanks for the help! It looks like we'll go the CSC route if the job goes. Best, Will
  12. Hi all, have a job coming up with the 235 and are looking at lo-mode. Anyone done this? Is there a bracket available yet? Thanks, Will Eichler Detroit, MI
  13. Those pics came for Leon's camera manned by a trusty PA. Our 2nd, Brad, took as many if not more. Some days I feel I travel with my own publicity photographer. I'll dig through his stuff and see if there are any other shots worth posting. Then I'll see if I can figure how to post one of them here. Best to all. Will
  14. Marc, My experience with Iki's is they have their own plate which is different than the Sony plate. You might want to check with production and see how theirs is set up. Your Sony plate may not work. Good luck! Will Eichler
  15. What rig? My rig of course, but I was more focused on my new student. Rigs are in-animate objects and she isn't! Traci, Leon and I worked together on an indie shot around Annapolis, MD last summer named "Crazy Eights." She is easily one of the best actors to work with I've ever been on set with. These shots were taken immediately after the wrap on the last night. I offered for her to try the sled early in the show and she was really excited. Time slipped away from us and the last day arrived. She ran up to me and said she was seriously bummed that she hadn't had a chance to fly the rig. Well, Leon and I had thrown a lens and dummy load up about 15 minutes earlier. From bummed to all smiles in the snap of a finger. Jim, I'm looking for my advertising check. :) Very cool experience, still trying to get my vest back to my shape. Those of you looking at the rig 1st might want to check you pulses. Best to all, Will Eichler Detroit, MI
  16. Anthony, It was Larry on Untouchables. Cheers, Will Eichler
