  2. Up for sale is my Klassen Universal vest. I purchased it in 2012. It is serial number 341.

    The vest comes with:

    - a drop arm for conventional operating

    - both bags

    - tools

    - two spare ratchet and straps

    - instruction manual

    - EZ Rig converter (this takes the place of the arm and lets you us an EZ rig spar with your own vest - I almost kept this vest just for that!)

I'm 6'2" and have weighed between 215 and 240 when wearing this vest and it has worked great.

Since these are very fitted vests, I will offer you the right to return if it doesn't fit, the shipping being your expense.

  3. Getting gear organized on hiatus and find I have a few items I don't use:

    - Magdock - This is for the 1.5 OD rings of the first generation. $150.00 almost new

    - SR1 & 2 low mode bracket. This was the sturdy type that replaced the handle instead of screwing onto it. - $40.00

    - Modulus 2000 - This was my back-up to my 3000. I'm keeping the 3000 as a back up. It was serviced in 2010 by Cramped Attic and not used on a job since. It has only been tested. It is now in excellent working shape and comes with the antenna and cables for CP 4-pin Hirose, Pro, Panavision, Arri 11-pin and 4 pin XLR. If you still have a SD monitor, this is a great unit to send an image with. $300.00 OBO

Buyer pays shipping. I take paypal or check. I check here occasionally so it may be better to write me at will (at) williameichler (dot) com.

    Best,

The photo shows all of the above listed, except the CBK-RGB01 upgrade SxS card.

I’ve had it for some personal projects that have been pushed to the side by regular work. I don’t see getting to any personal projects this year.

If you’d like an inspection, please suggest a known rental house that you could do it at. We can work out the details from there. I’ve bought used gear before and would expect the same myself!

I’m asking $8250.00 OBO, plus shipping costs. Please send any questions for information or offers to me at will(at)willliameichler(dot)com.

    Thanks for looking.

  8. Hi all,

I have the Juiced Link DT454 XLR adapter for the 5D/7D/etc that I'm just not using. It comes with the original box, jumper audio cable to connect to camera, hex key that came with it and a printed version of the owner's manual (pulled that off the web).

The unit lists for $419. Mine has less than 10 hours recording time on it.

Asking $300.00 plus shipping of your choice.

Drop me a note at will (at ) williameichler (dot) com

    Thanks!

    Will

  9. When I had an EFP, Brant Fagan helped me with a lot of upgrades for it, both electrical and otherwise. Put him in the running as well.

    Best,

    Will

I am interested in upgrading the wiring of a recently purchased EFP Sled. Anyone on the east coast doing this type of work?

Any suggestions on who I should contact?

    Thanks,

    Adam Keith

  10. I found a funny typo in the manual! It tells you where much of the wording came from. On page 28 is the list of "Supplied Equipment and Accessores." The first three things on the list are the SCOUT sled, arm and vest.

    Funny.

    Wil

    Andrew,

Haven't really looked into that. The only camera I have flown with iris rods so far is a Canon 5D and we used a Redrock Micro baseplate and extended rods, so that we could mount an A/B Hytron battery on a plate behind the camera for extra mass up top (I also used my 6.5lbs Janice Arthur weight plate and a Manfrotto QR).

So, I don't know of bolt-on solution to the rods deal, but I feel like someone must have that answer...when I bought my used Flyer the wedgeplate was marked on the front underside with the words "Letus rods" in china marker by the previous owner. So, it wouldn't surprise me if the existing hole pattern on the wedgeplate is designed to match with some existing bracketry.

Perhaps the folks at Tiffen know.

  11. Louis,

I had a similar issue with my Camwave. Element Technica was able to set me up for my needs.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks

    Louis Puli

    Or, Element Technica

  12. Rob,

Alec provides great advice. Get two.

    Alec,

Say hi to Mr. Insley for me, please!

    Will

    Robert,

With HD taking over, I'd say the iris option is no longer an option but a must have. On our show, the DP always has iris motors hooked up to ALL cameras and controls them from video village.
