It's easier to add weight "weight plate,antlers,etc" than to lose weight "without AC,DP, Director being pissed". Personally I would go with the Ultra/Master's Arm. Get a nice practice cage and be physically ready for those heavier Film and HD jobs. James

I have an American steadicam stand that has the black coating. I purchased it 3 NAB's ago, at that time they said it was a "new black coating". Not sure if it's the same but I don't care for it. It creates a more gloss coating and tends to not stay tighten. A couple of times after I swore I tighten the stand, I would dock the sled and I would slowly see the stand collapse. Just my opinion. -James

Before anybody follows this advice, the factory needs to check if the DC-DC converter has issues with the 2nd battery - it might - so don't try this yet. Jerry Hi Jerry, I was just wondering if the factory got a chance to test this yet. I have the Ultra 1 with Powercube Conversion kit, do I need to add a diode? Thanks! James

I have an Aux Power connector on the side of the sled. I have powered the Gyros from this connector. Not sure if it can "also be used as a power input connector." I guess I also could go directly to the Molex connector before the power goes into the sled. Not sure what that would do. Anyway like I said just wondering.... Thanks Again. James

Alfeo, Any idea how this might work with original 24v Ultra1 Sled. Would it be any benefit or should I just power the monitor separately from the Fracolizer w/ IDX like I have it setup? Just wondering. Please post in new thread if appropriate. Thanks! -James

I rotate them every day. I have them labeled odds and evens for the day of the month. This helps dry out the shoe. Helps the shoe to reform during its day off. Helps extend the overall lifespan of the shoe. -James
