I have both, and definitely prefer the decimator. The Aja is a piece of kit built to live somewhere in a studio environment, and while the signal you get from it is really precise it it really sensitive regarding voltage requirements. The decimator on the other hand has never failed me once - just make certain to order a couple of the power connectors they use as they are non-standard (at least around here)

Great solution Job. I got my X2 about 3 years ago just when it was launched as have been using it extensively - mostly with the offroad tires as i noticed the increase in turning radius on the turf tires. How does it handle on the slimmer I2 wheels, and have you noticed any other differences in performance ? Edvard

Hi Ramon I just got a quote from Preston, and inquired about the gimbal mounted microforce controller. It has been discontinued, so i'm looking for another solution for cine lenses. Until now i have been on a Scorpio system that has been working without problems for many years, C-motion has a gimbal controller but the system doesn't seem to be as robust ...And the AC's i use regularly really want the HU3 :-) What are you guys using - Anybody using the Buzz and with what motors ? / Edvard

I´m in the process of buying a Preston system, and just got a message from the that they no longer make the gimbal mounted microforce controller. I suppose it's because it was part of their analogue package, but as i will be doing a lot of jobs the next year with both my own Century compact zooms and the new Optimos, i would like to hear if anybody has figured out a solution ?
