it should screw in,as far as i know,it is the same as the merlin.if it not fairly obvious i think it is broken or missing a part .post a pic if you can Looks like my picture in the first post didn't work. what type of camera are you using

I am new to the forum amd new owner of a merlin,i think i will have to mod in some way.My jvc only weighs .78 .I can get trimmed but never fully balanced much movement and get a pendulum that sways for several seconds I cant find this camera in the cookbook or in user submitted if anyone can help i would be very appreciative,i have found someone with a CNC machine who will for no charge duplicate the dovetail plate with no holes..so i think if i add a pound it should be much more stable and easier to balance?
