Any experienced ops out there flying RED One on the Steadicam? What is the average weight of the RED build? I'm trying to determine what model Steadicam to invest in. I can't afford a top rig but would like to be able to fly about 30 to 35 lbs as necessary.

I'm relatively new too but I did recently fly a 7D on a Pilot. I had to beef up the rig with a few extra weights and open the arms up a lot. I'm not sure if you can add weight to the Flyer's sled but give it a shot. You might also try to find a way to beef up the camera itself by adding weighted plates between the camera and the mount.
