  1. UP ! 9500€. Like new, used 10 hours approximatively:) You can try it in Paris or near...
  2. I'm selling a Zephyr HD bought in 12/2010 in perfect shape (looks like new actually). Post clamps have just been changed and gimbal have been re-centered perfectly, thanks to Wilfried... I'm selling it with a marshall V-LCD70 HD 3G sdi monitor (with V-lock stand alone option) providing all connections in and out. 12000€ or 10000€ without monitor. Hard case and steadicam stand are included.
  3. I'm selling my brand new Atlas arm. It is like new, VERY few used and bought at Planning Camera in september of 2012. I bought it 11960 euros TTC (importation taxes and travel included). I'm selling it 11000 TTC. It can hold around 40 pounds and is as smooth as a Titan arm.I'm located near Paris, France and will only accept a hand to hand transaction.
  4. Hi guys. I just bought (a few weeks ago) this Transvideo cine monitor HD 6' in a mint state (excepted a few little scratches on the body that you can see in the photos but the screen is perfect of course). I am the second owner. It occurs that I will need money in a few months and want to sell it in France (I live near Paris) now. The price is 3200 €. I give a Sachtler cable also. Kindly yours , Sébastien Barbara.
  5. Yes Ron, after I read the mail from GPI by myself, the confusion came from here: GPI talked about the structure of the arm.
  6. Thank you Eric, I will wait till august, so !
  7. Has anyone ever heard about "bronze" canisters? GPI told my french seller they could provide a pair of them for my atlas in no delay, following an order cancel from another buyer. I asked grey ones at first but the delay is longer...
  8. Hi Nikolay. I'm afraid I can not buy the item without trying it and the travel is a bit long for me, french. Are you by chance intend to visit someone in France during the next 2 months ?

    Thank you.

  9. Hello Nikolay.

I may be interested in your steadicam.

Two questions: in which country are you living? Is the price french TVA included ?

    Thank you.

  10. I'm selling my flyer LE in mint condition that I bought last year. It is coming with 2 90Wh Swit batteries and a dual Swit charger. Batteries are all right. I changed 6 months ago the gimbal bearings and the nut of the gimbal, too.The whole item is 3 years old, the monitor is 1 year old. Also Given with it: 3 weight plates (1,2kilos each)made by B.Fatras. I'm the second owner.Nothing else to say, all is in good aspect and is functionning perfectly. You can try it in Paris, France. Price: 5000 euros.
  11. Did you try to bend the stand (be carefull to ask someone to secure the base of the stand with one foot) ?
  12. I agree, the merlin stays where it is put (especially if you don't move:), and great operators could do very clean job with it I can imagine(see the demo vidéo of Charles Pappert, concerning a pilot however),interior shots mainly. But it is so hard to achieve without any inertia ! And light steadicams (I owned a pilot and now a Flyer LE) are so sensitive to wind ! I was thinking in the past year I could "master" in light steadicams with a lot of patience and work. Now I'm discouraged by how difficult it is to get smooth in very slow moves or with a little wind with light rigs, which is so often asked. I'm only pretty happy now with my LE with three weight plates added on top and two batteries on the bottom, for a total of 25 pounds on the arm. But I recognize a merlin or pilot is great to practice (the last one is nearer of a real steadicam). One more thing: are you able to control a tilt with only room for two fingers on the gimbal ? I didn't understand how to do it when I tried a merlin. Sebastien.
  13. Sorry, but i don't trust in Merlin, so I can not tell if the shakiness is your fault, surely not. The issue to my humble opinion with the merlin is that if you let it play alone (which is for me the key for smoothness) it's going anywhere; So you'll have to hold it, and it is so light that this will show on the movie. Heavier is Easier:)
  14. I tried this new rig model from sachtler at Satis in Paris. The post is huge now and allows the new feature: by moving a mass (or the inner post itself I didn't ask) you can tune very precisely the lenght of the post (or the placement of the mass inside) in a second by rotating a kind of hand grip lower on the post. Not sure I'm very clear but I can tell you it is very pleasant to adjust the drop time so easily, whithout even having to place the post at horizontal. A quick way to move from a very tilted shot to a more windy one:) Or to find easily a 6 seconds drop time:) It is a feature who seems like the micrometric control of the plate applied to the post.
  15. What kind of problem ? balancing the system or operating it ? I tried this system during a show ( SATIS in Paris ) and didn't remark anything catastrophic. The system was not of a quality approaching in any kind Steadicam or Sachtler for instance but it made the job. The camera on it was heavy, though (big panasonic P2) . The rear back mount of the vest made my back suffer a little (problem of muscles unused for me, I suppose).
  16. Nothing special to advice IMHO.A little philosophy by myself ? Just follow practising, you'll never be too critical about yourself, i would say:) The ideal is to be more critical than people who pay you. It's the key in job generally (every jobs, I suppose) : if you see defaults, you will (I hope) correct them and one day, they will be soon so tiny than others (most of them ) won't see them. The cellist Rostropovith told one day: If i stop practising one day, i will know it. Two days, my fellows will know it. Three days, public will know it :) Totally out of the place and general talking, but I wanted to tell, if to convince myself, sorry for the bored readers:)
  17. One time more, the problem with the pilot occurs only when the telescopic post is deployed to its maximum. The reason is that in low mode, in order to place the gimbal as higher as possible, you put all the rods at the (new) top and the lever is too important for the thin ( and long, in the case of lowmode ) carbon fiber of the post; The vibration is "rotative", especially when you stop fastly a pano: the post in entering in resonance.
  18. I used a smooth shooter, there is non arm adjustement: The socket has two holes, the arm has two pins. Point :) Of course it doesn't help keeping the chin right :)
