  1. Hi job that`s a great idea hope my transmitter is strong enough otherwise they could setup a line close to the stage...

yeah did one job before with that camera...nice do you pull your own focus? anf if so with what device...

    thanks cheers

  2. Hi all I have a live gig comming up...very short notice...tomorrow`s prep already

it`s with Thomson GrasValley (?) TV cameras and canon wide angle optic

i have an old J7 trying to get shematics for it because the last time i wanted to use it i could zoom in but when i released the rocker it would zoom out by itsself agian...

i also whant to order jim bartell`s gimbal focus controller to have the option to pull my own focus in case the assistant (i don`t know him yet) can`t do it propperly

but here`s the question now how can i get the return signal (what the other cameras do) on my monitor best would be switchable with my own signal of course any connectors pinouts?

    thanks in advance

    p.s. i also have a tally light ;)

  3. hey i don`t want to offend anyone if i say bad and lousy it`s not allways the operator`s fault

i think anyone of us would have had difficulties to shoot under both conditions...

it`s just a head up for directors that if you use steadicam use it well not just to move around

tell a story and let the steadicam help the viewer to discover it...peace

  4. no i didn`t shoot that video and i`m also not shure who did could be brian goff?

since i found it on his homepage (www.actionproducts.ch) but it`s not written there

    if he shot it actually...?

anyhow of course christina is hotter than gimma but her video is so bad not

only for the operating which is shurely hard to do with that location full of strange lights

and the strange directions wich make her look like stupid well maybe that was the idea

for the gimma stuff well if you watch the background und horizons it`s pretty

lousy too but it`s hard to walk backwards in the snow and concentrate on so

many extras...but it`s a fun video and no one has done it before that way at

    least not in switzerland...

  5. Hi all I^m loocking for a used BFD if possible also with an iris module so i can replace my

seitz wich does funny things lately: first i thought it were the bateries (i recelled them)

but after i ched them the problem was still there: my assistand was able to demonstrate

and repeat the phenomenon: when he stood in a certain angle and he made a bigger turn

on the focus control the reciever showes an error and the motor didn`t respond for a short

moment then it would go to the mark...strange

i just got back from the shoot it all went well thanks to a great assistant!

i will check tomorrow maybe it`s because we had to control iris as well and i just have one cable for the

amp to EFP junction box so i have to put the reciever on top as well (normally i use the battery base

multipin connector) and use the multipin breakout cable and connect it to the amplifier for the motors)

that sucks!!! now that i have more and more and bigger jobs comming i need a decent setup

which i can rely on...so please somone getting a brand new preston or scorpio help me and

sell me your trusty old BFD!!!

    thanks in advace

  6. Thanks for all your tips guys...all went fine it was a sony 570 HD CAM...the test out is composite...the DOP used the SDI for lighting and then an LCD via transmitter... :) :P

  7. Hello all...I`mgoing to shoot HD on a EFP with a transvideo LCD...

so what do I need to get a BNC/cinch composite signal into my sled...is it a seperate downconverter or a adapter cable? or depends it on the HD camera I`m using?

  8. Hi guys i have a problem with my original EFP b/w LCD monitor with framelines

if i look at the picture of my LCD of my sony DVCAM and compare it to the picture of my EFP monitor there is about 1/4 of the picture missing on the downpart...is my monitor broken or can i adjust it with a knob inside? Manuals anyone?

  9. Hi sorry not being able to answeer your question and giving one to you
