  10. I'd go AJA and here's why. Although the decimator is smaller and lighter the process of getting it repaired is a major headache. I used a decimator for years and like all decimators eventually it died. Even though they covered the repair it was a three month process. It was first sent to England to be assessed and then once it was determined that it needed repair it was sent to Australia. After that I'm pretty sure it was sent back to England and then to me. In the interim I bought an AJA and never looked back. As mentioned before in previous posts the AJA service is great.

  15. It looks like the problem has been solved. A friend of mine had one of Jerry's older split collars (the one with a screw on each side) that he was kind enough to give me. Because of the two screws you can lock down each side equally. I truly believe it has a better grab than the one with the hinge. Osvaldo, what would happen is I would dock the sled and over the course of the day it would start to slip and then all of a sudden bang! The ring would be smashed up against the upper electronics. I'm now looking for another split collar for low mode. thanks for all the input guys. Rod
