  1. Looking to buy a Stanton Zoom/Focus System. Email me at calebennis@gmail.com if you have one. Thanks!
  2. Save your money and start with a Flyer... If you get a steadicam job why not rent?
  3. I agree with Chris. Money can be better served elsewhere. Like cables, batteries, charger, etc.
  4. Typically the TV truck will provide headsets for you. If you just want one for yourself contact the production company and see where they purchase the headsets from... I personally ask for double muff headsets and wipe them down really good with sanitation wipes. Never really needed to go out and buy one...
  5. Yeah i use it once every year or two... I never have squeaks just do it to keep corrosion off and lube the bearings.
  6. ACF-50 is what I use. Try searching it has been discussed many times.
  7. Yeah thats similar. Cant be mounted to a rail system tho...
  8. I saw one similar with iPad... I like the idea of another excuse to buy an iPad or 2.... Any problem with vignetting on ENG wide lenses? We personally have not. We have ran 35mm lenses and its fine. It can mount pretty close to the glass. I guess it just depends on the camera and lens combination... I would email ProPrompter to verify tho.
  9. Click Me This is what we use at work. 2 iPads, and VERY light weight! Plus it can mount to ENG cameras with the rail systems. We currently mount the unit to our RedRock Rig rails. Works great for on the field were wireless is huge.
  10. The Holy Crap Strap? B) It is an emergency release cord, that rips the vest off of you. Say you fall into a lake, pull the strap and your home free minus your rig...
  11. Welcome to Redrock deadlines! Waited more then a year over there deadline for the RR mattebox when it first came out! It will probably be next summer... B)
  12. I have to agree with Eric. Even a bare Red comes close to maxing out "small rigs." I rather invest in a big rig and add weight to the camera, then try to take weight off... You never know what camera configuration you will be flying on your next project better to be prepared. I personally have a small set and a big set of springs for my "big rig" arm. Plus i just picked up a weight plate!
  13. I second Charles idea. We need a heads up comparison! I think that would benefit many on the edge of which unit to invest in.
  14. Ook that makes since. Thanks for the info Charles, i will look into the Blackmagic box. May try to rent one here local, not a big fan of the whole DSLR world... I try to limit any shooting with the 5/7d when im not using the steadicam as it is! B)
  15. Hey Guys i have my first shoot with a 5D and was curious if there was a HDMI to Component cable? I know about the AJA box and similar. I found this online for a ps3 and couldn't see why it wouldn't work...? ps3 cable
  16. Here is a link to the transition. Click me Congrats on all the feed back John!
  17. Luc, You could probably get away with just one case for the pilot. Look into the IM2950 equivalent to the 1650 case. Just depends on personal preference if you want every component in one case or not. Go to pelicans website and just browse the dimensions you may be able to get away with a smaller pelican. Just my thoughts, im sure others will chime in. B)
  18. Looking to buy a Pelican 1650 with foam cut or uncut. Need a new case for my sled and arm. Prefer the Storm im2950 but 1650 works. Thanks!
  19. Congrats on the stepping out and going full-time, brave of you. Save every dollar, and remember PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! B)
