  1. Here are a variety of items that I’m looking to part with: - An Old School Docking Bracket; I have no idea who made this, but this served as my first docking bracket for several years. It’s an unconventional style to say the least. Designed for 1.5” posts. - MK-V Evolution Battery Rack; Sold as-is, but worked fine the last time I had the lower electronics plugged in (that has since sold). It’s been modified from PAG to Anton Bauer Gold Mount. - MK-V to Red Epic/Scarlet 12V cable - Spare MK-V Evolution Parts; see photos. - Redrock Micro Mattebox; Swing-away style 4x5.65 with two filter trays. Designed for 15mm lightweight spacing. - Redrock 15mm Lightweight Off-set - 1.5” Docking Collar Make me an offer; everything must go!
  2. I'm selling my Proline Raven stabilizer. I bought this and did some practice with it but never used it on a production. It's essentially been sitting in the studio. The system shows some marks from setting it up and practicing but otherwise it's in excellent condition. The bad news for me is I have a bunch of money tied up in this. The good news is I learned enough about Steadicam to know to hire and work with a great operator on the film I directed last year. Included in the sale (everything in the pictures except monitor, battery and c-stand). - Proline Raven Sled - capable of flying up to an Alexa. - Proline Vest (modified with M2 buckles http://www.ratchetingbuckles.com/for more precise fitting) - Proline Arm with 2 sets of springs for flying everything from DSLR up to fully loaded Alexa. - Custom cut hard case from http://www.mycasebuilder.com/ - Original fasteners from the vest that I took off to change the buckles Cables: - Red Epic Lemo to Sled Lemo power cable - Monitor XLR to sled Lemo power cable - Redrock Microremote base station to sled Lemo power cable Supports 12v and 24v Lemo power with up to 3 batteries Dual SDI cables in center column From PROLINE: MSRP of this system without cables or case is over $12,000. Asking $6000 including case and ground shipping in continental USA Located in San Francisco PM me with questions or offers no warranty no returns
  3. I am selling this for a friend. Steadicam Scout Comes with: Sled (18lb payload limit) Vest Arm Docking Stand Monitor Low mode bracket Spare socket block HDMI Cables Rig is a year and a half old and has only had one owner, selling it for future endeavors. Manages DSLR/RED/Canon C/Sony FS cameras with ease and agility. Please note, there is a frayed HDSDI cable. Asking $4250 OBO
  4. I recently flew an Epic on a Zephyr and had some serious shaking issues. The rented rig didn't come with enough weights to properly keep the bottom end heavy, so we fitted a circular 5lb weight to the post and it worked perfectly in all of our tests. We had two Steadicam shots that day, and the first, a low-mode shot following the hand of a character went flawlessly, but the second shot had one issue that may have ruined the shot. The shot was a high angle (tilted ~30 degrees) running shot for about ten yards to a lock off, a few booms, then a walk in to a lock off. The entirety of the second half was perfect, but the running had some terrible shaking throughout it. If they were just footsteps, I would have understood and learned from my mistake, but they were consistent throughout the movement, not just when I stepped. The ground was awful; our location was an ally in complete disrepair. It looked like it had never seen a full, even state in the history of the city, and was instead patched with lazy pothole fills. This didn't stop the first shot from being completed as planned, though. We did 27 takes of this shot and the problem was in each take, but we had a hard out fast approaching, and nothing immediately stood out when I docked. While watching dailies the 1st AC suggested that it was something in the build on top and took responsibility, however, I want to be sure so that this doesn't happen again. Issues that I think may have caused this: -weight on the bottom of the sled possibly being loose -loose parts on the camera -operation issues (what could have caused constant shakes from operation? trying to hold the angle?) -uneven ground I really appreciate any advice anybody can give me about this. This is the best shot I have of the build from our tests; I don't know if this is going to be enough to tell what's wrong..
