I am hoping to sell it for $2000.00USD or best offer. I am selling from Japan and buyer pays shipping. Please let me know if you are interested! Thank you! Best Wishes, Koji

  4. I'm getting ready to purchase either a used Flyer LE or a used Scout. I have flown the Flyer as a rental many times and feel comfortable with it. I have never flown a scout. I understand the Scout is a newer / updated version of the Flyer and may have some improvements over the Flyer and is generally newer and more modern. My concern with the Scout it is designed to only mount one Anton Bauer battery to the bottom of the sled, the two battery design of the Flyer seems to add more counterwieght. I understand the Scout is designed to balance with screw on "Merlin" weights. Perhaps the scout is a
  5. I am looking to have some customized parts made for my Steadicam Scout; specifically the monitor - I am wanting to add a monitor yoke to attach to my center post up higher.. I need to know the diameter of the lower stage post and the upper stage post.. these parts are so expensive
  6. I have what I'm sure is the standard Scout vest and it's a stuggle to get it to fit tightly. I am wondering if anyone has the compact they would like to swap (depending on differing condition) for my standard. My point of reference is that when wearing the compact Ultra vest, I have the locking straps all the way to the last notch or two on the hips! Located in London, UK Thanks Mike
  7. I have an essentially unused Steadicam Scout kit available. It was used on a small job once. We subsequently ended up with a different solution due to the learning curve of the Steadicam. My loss is your gain. As you can see from the photos it is in almost new condition. I have tested the monitor and it is fully functional. I am also including a Steadicam operator book. I have lots of feedback on fredmiranda.com under my own name, and on ebay as imagexchangephotography It will be packed in its case and a large box for shipping I am asking US $3999.00 Shipped. PM me for any ques
  8. So I got a crazy good deal on Flyer rig used... Huzzah! The only problem is the entire thing smells overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke! I'm trying every old wives trick in the book so if anyone finds this remotely interesting (or entertaining!) I can post about my methods if it works out. However, per my inital question, IF all of my efforts and spells and incantations fail- could I purchase a new Scout Vest, (probably a compact vest because I am a smaller framed girl anyway) and would the new vest be compatible with the rest of flyer rig? Thanks in advance! PS- if anyone ou
  9. Hey everyone, I am new to this arena. I just want to establish that. I tend to ask a lot of questions, sometimes annoying questions about obvious things. These questions may seem obvious to a seasoned operator but this is how I learn, by asking dumb questions. Like this: How does an unestablished operator become a better operator? I thought this meant purchasing a smaller, affordable rig like a Pilot or Scout to practice with? I don't mean to purchase such a rig and then go directly to work on big shows. But that is what it seems like. This is a professional's forum and I appre
  10. Hello, I am a novice in the Steadicam arena but would love to ultimately own REAL (40K-60K Equipment). Right now I fly my GH4 with battery grip & Rokinon 14mm on my Glidecam HD-2000 with GlideGear's Vest & Arm. The payload is 2-6 lbs. I am ready for a real rig. I have been eyeballing the Pilot for a long time, as well as the Scout. Then I had this phase where I was mainly concerned with Came-TV's chinese knockoffs. Knowing they were probably crap, I still heavily considered buying one of their rigs. Not to fly on set right away, just to practice framing, horizon control, etc
  11. Tiffen low mode bracket. Fits pilot, zephyr, scout, and flyer. Located in Los Angeles Make an offer
  12. Hey good people, need help making a decision. OK, I have the Canon C100 and I want to connect it with the sled of the Scout. The sled has a BNC connection whereas the C100 has an HDMI; so I'm looking for an HDMI to SDI converter. I'm between the Atomos: H2S & AJA: HA5 Small Comparison on the features I'm considering: Powering-Up AJA: can be powered straight from the Sled (w/ extra accesorry-if I'm not mistaken) Atomos: Has internal battery & takes external Sony batteries (one is included) Mounting AJA: not sure Atomos: attaches to my Atomos Ninja 2 (w/ not extra ca

  14. Hey everyone, I am a new member in this forum and I recently bought a new Scout steadicam. Please excuse my ignorance but can you tell how to power up the Scout monitor? Do I have to buy any additional wires or is the cable included? Within the package there is a 12V cable (which is also wired through the post) but it cannot seem to fit onto any of the monitors connections. Any help will be much appreciated! Thank you.
  15. is there such a device where you can continue to keep your Rig powered when docked for an extended period of time, during lunch hour, coffee breaks, etc. so I could dock and plug my rig into a standard 12VDC power supply, and walk away for a bit without losing sync to my wireless transmitter, or not having to powering down the camera, or pull the battery out, etc. especially for single battery rigs... (i presume with the big rigs you can easily hot swap batteries since they use more than 1 battery.)
