I am looking to sell my Steadicam Flyer. I am the second owner, and didn't get to use it as much as I would have liked due to moving on to other projects. I would rather someone put it to use than it just sit in storage. Fun to fly and in great working condition. Only issue is a small crack in the plastic of the vest (shown in pics), but does not affect performance at all. Tvlogic 5.6 with canon battery back 4 battery and charger The batters are a few years old but rarely used not sure of there condition. Hello fellow Steadicam users and OPs. Before going on let me introduce myself. I am 20 years old, I am not a film grad nor am I going to college for film; Although I do know a little bit about camera work and film already by experience. I've been working for a wedding production company for about 5 years and Using the Steadicam Pilot for 4 years. I wanna start getting more into the film area of work but I was wondering where I should start. Should I start by buying a bigger Steadicam? What is a good place to start looking for jobs? What kind of things should I be expecting with what I have. Should I focus more about my reel first? Any tips or critiques are welcome and any contractors are too (I'll work for dirt cheap if needed, whatever gets me in) Sincerely a passionate Pilot User.

Hello, my dear steadicam gurus. I just graduated from film school, (I am 23 right now) and I decided to go serious about my carrier as a steadicam operator. I've made some mistakes along the way to start this business, such as buying CAME-TV steadicam as my first rig, and buy many 3rd party accessories to minimize my budget. I know many of you criticize that this rig will not be acceptable in professional field, and initially I disagreed. However more research I do and more gig offers I get, I realize I do need better equipments that last long and perform effectively. In a way, I learned my lesson in a hard way. Now, as you can tell from the fact that I try to minimize my budget to start my carrier, I don't have much to start with, and especially not 30k-50k. I was about to give up on pursuing this carrier until I bumped into rent-to-own program and leasing options. I was looking into GPI Pro rigs, because it offered rent-to-own program while offering solid service, and it was the same for Steady Rig although they only sell arm component. Then as I research more, I realize I can talk to credit union to get loans if I want to get gears from other companies. This option will let me go on a track to be in the business, but as I am young and unexperienced with financial world, I am very concerned if I will be eligible for loans, so I am asking advice from folks who were also in same path as I was, I want to hear from your perspectives how you guys handled the initial budgets and which would you guys recommend me between lease, loans, and rent-to-own programs. On a different question, I am very new to upgrading sled with different components, so I want to know what is absolute feature in sleds that I should consider if I am choosing my first rig? For an example, I realize both MK-V J Box center pole cable and GPI Pro HD center pole cable would not fit in any rigs that is less than 2' diameter. So I know now that if I want to upgrade electric components in future, I must get a sled that is larger than 2' diameter. That's one feature that I learned to consider, but I want to know if there is anything that is essential features in sleds if I am considering upgrading in future to minimize expenses in the future. Thank you teachers, and any criticism and advices are welcomed. -

Hi guys, I made a dumb mistake today. I didn't carefully read the manual and I made the dumb mistake of rotating the guide ring too much to the point where it's too tight and now stuck. Is there any way to undo this without taking it apart or breaking it? Selling my trusty "Landau" style steadicam cart and cases. They have just come back from service at Georgia Case. All the TSA locks work perfectly, and all drawers slide with ease. Every case has a matching cover as well. The magliner features a vest hanger and a post for your docking bracket. Also included is my steadicam sled case. These cart and yellow cases were previously "loved" by Robert Starling before I purchased them. They make setup so much easier! I don't want to break up the cart and yellow cases, but I am willing to sell the blue steadicam sled case separately. The top tray is 37" in length. Hey, I got a shooting coming up in 5 days with the Alexa XT, it's my first time to fly an Alexa XT on my zephyr and I'm a bit worried. I will receive the 2nd battery hanger, the steady-Alexa plate and the 24V cable in a couple of days. The setup will include the camera, an Arri Master Prime Lens and a bartech wireless follow focus. Anyone has a previous experience with this cam on this rig? Will I be able to fly it in Low mode (hips level) or no chance? I'm planning to power up the Bartech from the sled also. I am regretfully selling my amazing starter sled, the Ultra 1. I am selling because I recently upgraded to a more powerful rig to eventually get the artemis trinity setup. I also am expecting a baby boy in april so I need to make some room! I bought this sled from James Baldanza a few years back and it has been nothing but great. I am looking to get $12,000 for the sled (and hard case), a steadicam stand, IDX Battery Charger, (7) E-HL9s IDX Batteries (one of which charging lights doesn't work anymore), a bunch of cables, and I am throwing in the IDX Camwave HD/SDI wireless transmitter which even though you don't see around anymore still works in a jam. The sled was recently serviced by Tiffen, I have had it upgraded with an HD/SDI line, as well as changing out the old gimbal to the new steadicam ultra 2 gimbal. There is a third battery plate on the bottom of the sled, and has three different options for battery placement for power. This sled is a super post (27" to 71") so it can go super high mode or super low mode very quickly and easily. It still has the fore/aft - left/right top stage wireless trim control which is one of the few sleds that still has this amazing option. The tilt stage works like a wonderfully and maintains dynamic balance regardless of where you want to angle the camera. I bought an HD/SDI wondland monitor to replace the super bright monitor from Tiffen because it was an older SD monitor and I wanted the HD. It is a cheaper monitor, but works wonderfully and I have rarely had a problem with the light. It can be powered off the sled or with an IDX battery on it's back. This setup also comes with three camera plates (two long and 1 short), three posts (12", 3.5" and 5"), the ultra 1 low mode handle which has been upgraded to work with this ultra 2 gimbal, a 12V power cable, arri alexa power cable, a few BNC cables, the redbyte decimator downconverter (for use with Tiffen superbright as a backup), cables for the decimator made by konash, and also power cables for MDR2 and MDR3 systems. Hey everyone, so I'm looking to upgrade my vest to a GPI Pro vest, and I'm looking to sell my Ultra 2 vest and make this a quick exchange. I've personally owned the vest for four years now after I purchased it used. It has the normal wear and tear you would expect. The only real issue is the right shoulder buckle locking screw broke off so you would need to re-drill it and get another screw from Tiffen (hence the bongo tie). But that's nothing that effects the functionality of the vest. Also, the top of the shoulder pads have been shaved down a bit in an attempt to make it fit my shoulders better. If you're concerned at all concerned about it, and are in LA, you're more than welcome to try it on first. $3,300 OBO, buyer pays shipping.
