Hi chaps, My Ultra 1 is up for sale. I'll be sad to see this one go - it has been my one and only rig for two years, and has never let me down. As you might expect there are some minor cosmetic marks in places like the arm covers or the vest's fabrics, but functionally everything is rock solid and flies smooth as butter. 24V or 12V power comes from V-Locks (not included), which means you can power any camera from the top-stage (cables for Alexa or XLR4 included, amongst others), and the HD-SDI cable I slipped and secured down the post in the beginning has never failed. I'm throwing in a venerable Transvideo Rainbow (SD) monitor, but you'll certainly want to make use of that HD cable at some point! The tilt-stage (un-motorised) and four-stage post are frequently useful features which I'll miss in my next sled, and the tool-free Master/Ultra arm will be difficult to top, honestly. So I got a crazy good deal on Flyer rig used... Huzzah! The only problem is the entire thing smells overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke! I'm trying every old wives trick in the book so if anyone finds this remotely interesting (or entertaining!) I can post about my methods if it works out. However, per my inital question, IF all of my efforts and spells and incantations fail- could I purchase a new Scout Vest, (probably a compact vest because I am a smaller framed girl anyway) and would the new vest be compatible with the rest of flyer rig? Thanks in advance! PS- if anyone out there is/was a smoker and has had this problem, it would be lovely to add some new ingedients to my list of possible concoctions! -
PRO vest pads, not exactly sure how to measure them in relation to sizing for an operator. waist size seems straight forward but unsure about the chest and how wide the vest skeleton chest width is. PM me with any questions. Chest pad is 31" across. Waist pad is 37" across.

Hello, For sale is a Steadicam Zephyr HD AB sled, with original arm, vest, HD 7" and rolling hard case. This item is in beyond good condition, a few minor scratches just from casual use. It was purchased from B&H at the end of June of 2014, and I can count on two hands the number of times it has been used. I am based out of Metro Detroit and willing to ship out of my area, as well as be available for local pick up. Hey everyone! A little piece of info that maybe some other up and comers like myself should know... I'm sure it's floating around deep in the forum somewhere Tiffen arms have some play (about a full 1/2 inch) in the pro socket blocks to the point where you can not use them with your Pro Vest unless you have a Tiffen socket block. O'Shea and I stumbled upon this little discovery yesterday. Could have been a disaster discovering this on a job... Does anybody know why this is? Very interesting. And is there any way to keep the Pro socket block on the Pro vest and use a Tiffen arm? Hope everyone is doing well! Cheers

Hello, I have recently found a Seamstress in Vancouver that will take all of your Vest pads and create new ones for a very good price. Approx 350CDN. She uses good quality fabrics and she adds zippers for easy foam replacement and her work is amazing. if you would like her contact information please let me know at Fluidmo@Fluidmo.com BTW, she is of no relation, business or otherwise. I do not benefit from her getting contracts. She just did my vest and did a great job for a very good price and good turn around time. I think she could source foam but I prefer to do that, she just did all the material with Zippers and velco. peter.

I'm selling my Proline Raven stabilizer. I bought this and did some practice with it but never used it on a production. It's essentially been sitting in the studio. The system shows some marks from setting it up and practicing but otherwise it's in excellent condition. The bad news for me is I have a bunch of money tied up in this. GPI Pro Vest in excellent condition(best for height 5'9" to 6' 33-36 waist). I felt I was a just a little too tall for it at 6'2". The pads could not look newer. It's a real upgrade for the right operator. I'll include a Pelican 1620 case that fits it perfect(no foam in case) $3500

FS: Master Series Vest, in very, very good condition. The last piece of my steadicam kit. I actually got this off of eBay, at a store that hosted government auctions. They were selling all kinds of old scientific research hardware, and old, and I mean really old camera equipment, from government agencies. Why a government agency had a steadicam vest? I can't say. Anyways, got the vest, checked it out, and it's basically almost new. There's some scratches on the plastic waist band, and a little wear on the center spar from adjusting, but the pads are firm, fat, and fresh, and the velcro is sticky. No wear or cracks in the shoulder buckle areas or buckles themselves. (a little wear from what I assume to be someone putting the sled in the rest position over the left shoulder) This one had the old-style ladder straps, but I have some new-style replacements I can put on, which seems a little more "clicky" if you will...socket block is clean, and looks virtually new. One of the wing nuts on the the socket block is missing a wing,..you can see it in the pic above..but that's about it. Some writing in sharpie can be seen on the bridge plate and on the shoulder straps -- I assume it was for inventory purposes...it was a little dusty from sitting in some closet, but this looks like a nice example of a Master Series Vest. Selling my Ultra2 Vest. Used, some cosmetic blemishes but fully operational. - there are some minor and one larger (right shoulder) rip in the outer padding material. never bothered me and does not affect functionality so I never fixed it... - there are a few loose rivets on the hip straps. however whenever you tighten the vest they are pulled right into place and work as they should. If you want to go all out you can most probably buy an entire new padding set from Tiffen or just use it as is. Vest is located in New York City.
