I’m a fairly new operator 3 years and going, started with a zephyr system and moved to a GPI pro system. I’m wondering what the community thinks of the volt vs trinity? They both have similar purposes and yet different implementation. I’m wondering what every one thinks... Pros and cons of both? Is one better than the other? challenges of either system? Trinity cost more but is the ability to invert the camera to low mode while shooting worth it? With a GPI sled I have the option of going either direction but I’m not sure which is better to invest in?

Hey all, I saw on newshooter.com post about this sled being released by SmartSystem about 7 months ago. First, I don't know the quality of their products, so how are their sleds? I know they are more a "budget" sled compared to some of the bigger brands such as GPI Pro, Tiffen, MKV, and Arri, but are they at least decent? I have the Glidecam X45 sled, and I feel it's pretty good for it's price point. I have a Ronin 2 already, so seeing this as my next step sled to get into a "poor man's Trinity" would be great. Plus, I like the option it can be converted into a standard sled for normal Steadi use, as well. If any one can chime in on this, that would be wonderful. Thank you!

SALE PENDING For sale is an Arri Artemis / Trinity system. This is a full system to either use it as a regular steadicam sled or a trinity. Please note that for the regular sled you will need to get a monitor bracket and monitor (I am currently using a transvideo monitor and camjam bracket and I am keeping those). You also need a monitor for the Trinity. I am currently using a SmallHD 503 high bright – but you can also use the Transvideo 5” Starlite. The system is about 18 months old and was purchased new from Arri in Blauvelt, New York. It was regularly serviced and is in perfect working condition. Artemis Sled is in very good condition with one very minor scratch on top stage and some inevitable superficial scratches on the gimbal cap where you dock. Trinity head has seen little use and is in mint condition. The battery plates have been customized with cheese plates to accommodate accessories such as wireless video etc. Included are: - Artemis Cine Broadcast 1.8'' sled / AB batteries - 3rd AB Plate (under post) - artemis Camera Plate 8'' - artemis Post Tool 1.8'' / 1.5'' - post extension - rain cover for bottom hanger - 2 x docking / balancing bracket - Trinity head - Trinity joystick & cable - Power cables for bottom stage Trinity - Power cables for regular monitor (lemo 2pin) and Transvideo Starlite 5” - Focus power out > D-tap power splitter x 2 - Alexa Mini Power cable - Fisher Arri 24V Power cable - Amira control cable - extra mounting / accessory plate for Trinity / Artemis rods (pictured gyro is not included) - Tenba storage and transport case for Trinity head I wish I would not have to say this but: No barter, no trades, no discounts, no installments, no financing, no tire kicking, no nonsense. For the inevitable “why are you selling question”: As an equipment owner I buy and sell gear all the time. The Trinity is a brilliant and unique piece of equipment. But I have decided to prioritize other aspects of my work. The system is located and can be inspected just North of New York City. Buyer can pickup or pay for shipping of choice. New Value around $ 62k. Price: US $ 49,500k high rez pictures of all parts / details / accessories are here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uc44w3649inot63/AAAL887oOAfwYhmV83wQ191Ya?dl=0

Hi all, I am new to the forums and keen to hear feedback from steadicam operators all over on something I produced this summer. I am a beta/product tester for Vitec Videocom and as part of a Kickstarter project I have launched I was lucky enough to have Curt Schaller operate the prototype SMX 20 'Artemis Trinity' on my pitch film. It has been getting some good and bad feedback, all of which I understand, but I wanted to hear from actual operators in the industry. As a DoP I have my issues with the end product that we created but I think it's still a really decent effort given the ambitious one-shot nature of it. The Artemis Trinity has actually now been adapted to iron out the imperfections that are visible on my pitch film, but I'd love to know what others think of the prototype's efforts. Any and all feedback is great, and I will actually pass it on to Sachtler. Please check out the pitch film here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/paulcook/magpie Thank you for your time.
