Selling for a friend contact info below: I am selling my complete Arri Wireless Compact Unit WCU-4, the Single Axis Unit SXU-1. Includes 4 motors (2x cForce minis, 1x cForce mini PLUS, and 1x cForce Mini RF). In a pinch, this system could function as two separate wireless focus units. Purchased new in 2016, I have been the sole user of it. The WCU-4 with a monitor and receiver (and battery) attached is quite heavy. And the regular hand position on the left side is very far away from the center of gravity. This results in high fatigue on the wrist. The JOE bracket allows to mount and adjust a monitor to the WCU-4 and has its own handgip which is placed much closer to the center of gravity. The weight is no longer carried by the wirst but by the much stronger biceps. When the WCU does not need to be carried around the handgrip serves as a docking bracket on a C-stand. The cam-jam JOE comes with its own quickrelease bracket on the monitor so nothing extra is needed. No noga arms, no cinelock, no spigots. https://shop.cam-jam...-with-handgrip/ -
Hi guys, I've been filming with my Arri ALEXA Mini on my drones for almost two years now and love it. I've only ever hired in and used the WCU4 and DJI Follow Focus systems. The DJI is pretty poor and only works up to 100m whilst the WCU4 works fine up to my legal max range of 500m. I'm now ready to invest in my own system and was almost 100% ready to go for the WCU4 when someone told me about the Preston. Do any of you have any experience of using the PRESTON system with a drone and any comments, pro's or con's. :o) Thanks in advance, Stef x
