Premium Members Josh Pickering Posted April 14, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 14, 2015 Just curious what the post diameter is on the Archer2. Can't seem to find any info on that specifically.
Premium Members Nils Valkenborgh Posted April 16, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 16, 2015 1,5" If I recall correctly because the original archer had a 3a (or at least 3a style) gimbal and the 3a had a 1,5" centerpost. Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted April 21, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 Alas, not exactly1.500, although a 1.500 clamp on it will work fine. Ask Tiffen directly if you have a more critical dimensional need.
Premium Members Megan Masur Posted April 24, 2017 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 24, 2017 Hey Jerry! If I want to buy a post collar for docking in low mode on an Archer2 sled, will a 1.5" collar work?
Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted April 26, 2017 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 26, 2017 Yes, of course.
Premium Members Christian Ramirez-Coll Posted July 11, 2017 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 11, 2017 Hey there everyone, I just measured my Archer 2 with a caliper instrument. I did it a couple of times, and either I suck at this or the instrument is a bit faulty, but I got slightly different measurements each time: 1st Round: 34.97 mm 1.37.65 inch 1 and 3/8 of an inch 2nd Round: 34.93 mm 1.37.50 inch 1 and 3/8 of an inch 3rd Round: 34.83 mm 1.37.10 inch 1 and 3/8 of an inch I am assuming a bit or decimal error maybe OK. Sean Hunt
Hey Christian, Tom Wills helped me with a few things on my Archer2. He measured around the the Top post and Bottom post of the sled. The top was consistent at 1.5, but the bottom had a variance like the measurements you're getting. For what its worth, I'm thinking you're accurate with the measurements. If so how did you take off and put on the monitor system. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
