CBS and BBC are the first networks to use the ground breaking technology of the-boxx microwave link for live-to-air news broadcasts featuring the Rose Bowl Parade and the Oscars The-boxx is an affordable alternative to existing COFDM microwave systems providing a stable and reliable digital video link. KCBS Los Angles has successfully trialled the-boxx roaming cable free for live-to-air broadcasts since December, and will continue using the technology as part of their news broadcasts in the future while BBC Bristol used the boxx to roam around the Wallace and Gromet factory for a 3min live cross.
