Premium Members Matteo Quagliano Posted July 18, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 18, 2008 no steaqdicam for sure and no helmet mounted camera either, you can see that from a shadow on the rocks... I think he has the camera on his chest, may be tightened with some more straps then the one on top of consumer camera... keeping the strap behind your neck and lift the camera (only small dv) with your arms is the cheapest steadisystem I ever see and try. my 2 euro cc
Bob Woodhead
I used to rock climb, and that video kicks in my "pucker factor". Whew! Hire your most trusted spotter!
Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted July 18, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 18, 2008 That guy is nuts. The route is setup so that you can clip in and have a safety but it doesn't look like he is taking the time to do that. ~Jess
Premium Members mark morgan Posted July 18, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 18, 2008 i was actually waiting for the guy to base jump that would have been a sick way to finish that tour

Premium Members Afton Grant Posted July 18, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 18, 2008 My guess is the guy is simply holding a monopod or a folded tripod.

Premium Members Amando Crespo Posted July 23, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 Uf!.. Reading the shadows, may be...steadicam (small or other stabiltation gadget)... No reason to take this risk, walking without hands... The images, the shoot, sems like hand camera, and if the operator was flying a steadicam ...I can´t see. Danger, too much danger to cross a small bar bridge with an steadicam, dangerous and stupid, the images don´t get a felling... Was the same holder camera....Why the risk?
