Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 17, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 I'm building a specialized version of my running rig and need an old style PRO post (i.e. pre quick release top and bottom). I'm going to be cutting it way down in height so if you have one that is wonky (i.e. dinged or warped at bottom of outer tube or top of inner tube), it might be OK. Don't need wiring harness. Thanks! Premium Members Reid Russell Posted June 17, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 Charles, I may have what your looking for. I just upgraded to the center post II and kept my old post to build a running rig too. However I just sold my donkey box II because I needed money so that project has been put on the back burner. Reid P.S. Anyone looking to buy a 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500cc?
Premium Members Sydney Seeber Posted June 17, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 You don't like the carbon fiber? The only reason I ask is, It just so happens I'm doing something similar, and building another post and battery cage out of carbon fiber, but if there's a reason I should use aluminum, I might look at that... Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 18, 2009 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 Reid, I'll give you a call. Sydney, I'm just looking to keep things simple and if I get a PRO post with the required top and bottom bits, it's just a matter of chopping it down and a few holes here and there rather than starting from scratch. This is just a prototype so the difference between aluminum and carbon fiber won't be relevant (will be used with very minimal load anyway)
