Premium Members Blake Waldock Posted October 30, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 30, 2010 Hi guys, I've got mega problems with my arm... After 2 or 3 shoots, inevitably, I'll pop a bearing in the arm. Most recent was the one in the lower stage near the elbow closest to my body. Last time was next to the socket away from my body. Before that was top stage next to the elbow closest to my body... Surely its not my operating? Only maxed the arm out once, and that was on the last shoot (which is when it popped (right at the start of the day :(). Any thoughts? Thanks
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted October 30, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted October 30, 2010 Blake, I think a few more details are needed. Most notably, what kind of arm is it?????

Is it an older model? I heard they had bearing issues. I have a newer V-25 / X-45 since last January and have had no problems at all. Did they fail while you were in the low mode? Premium Members Blake Waldock Posted November 1, 2010 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 Wasn't in low mode... I sent the arm back a while ago to get the "upgraded bearings" as well and it still pinging them. Anyone got a G-50 they are looking to sell? :P

minsky
Hey there, just curious. Is this a common issue with the V25? I'm potentially looking to get one as a starter/practice rig and I've been trying to figure out if it's worth it for the savings Appreciate any thoughts thanks. Premium Members Martin Stacey Posted July 2, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 2, 2012 Hi minsky, Firstly, please change your name to your full name. It is forum rules. The early run of V25 arms had problems with bearings but as far as I know that has long since been resolved. Cheers and welcome to the forum.
