Premium Members Joel San Juan Posted September 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 12, 2012 Unfortunately the display set was linked to a camera on a tripod and didn't see another one that was avail to test the range. The sales guy was way too busy to give me a demo. The thing about the CW1 is that its still a HDMI while the advantage of the Bolt is the SDI, SDI Loop and also powered by a Lemo that its easier to configure with our sleds. Boxx had an interesting lower cost HD model at the Tiffen stand but didn't have the chance to check it out. J.
Premium Members Erik Brul Posted September 12, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 12, 2012 The salesrep was busy with answering questions asked by Kareem La Vaullée .. a friend from Kareem went on walking in the hall to test distance. I think about approx 10 meters from the booth the signal was bad.. and ofcourse due all the interference in the hall  Another 'stupid' thing was (at least to me) .. only 1 simple receiver on the show and meanwhile they shout from the roof that + 256 receivers is possible, so i expected at least 2 receivers, 1 on little director monitor and a other for video village. And ofcourse a price tag for a add-on second receiver, so price per receiver .. no info yet pfffff B)
Premium Members Twojay Dhillon Posted September 20, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 Just got an email back about Bolt's frame-rates, from Teradek: "...Twojay, Bolt will auto detect most all resolutions and frame rates, including the frame rates mentioned below. Hope this helps! If you have any further questions or concerns please let me know. Thank you for your interest in Teradek and our products!..." This is in response to this inquiry: "I'm wondering if the Bolt will also transmit the popular frame rates found on our professional sets (23.976/23.98; 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 60, etc.)"

Premium Members Aaron King Posted October 11, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 Has anyone had a chance to demo the Bolt outside of the trade shows yet? My experience with other Teradek products (namely the Cube) is not good, but I figure this is an all new approach from the company. I will be curious to hear some first hand experience from other operators.
Premium Members Wolfgang Troescher Posted October 19, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted October 19, 2012 From my German distributor I got the following information about the different Bolt-systems, which will be available soon. It´s interesting that this differs from the information we can find on the Teradek website, especially regarding the price (at least in Germany): System I: Bolt TX+RX, one transmitter, one receiver (without HD-SDI Loop and without internal battery in sender, just one RX Modul possible!!!), price: about 1,699 € (about 2,200$) System II: Bolt-ProTX+2RX, one transmitter - two receiver-Modules (with HD-SDI Loop and with internal battery, max. 4 receiver): 3,000 € (about 3,890 $) System III: Bolt-Pro-PLUS TX+4RX, one transmitter, 4 receivers (with HD-SDI Loop, with internal battery, 256 receivers maximum): 5380 € (about 7,000 $) Additional RX receiver: 740 € (about 970 $) Wolfgang

Please refer to the link above for more information. As I mentioned before, everybody on our pre-order list will have the option to purchase the unit described on our website (fully loaded) at the price we first announced in September.
