Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted October 10, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 10, 2013 If these two can work side by side, imagine the possibilities.
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted October 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 That monitor has a 1/4-20 screw hole and DAMNIT WE'RE GONNA USE IT.
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted October 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 Why? you made the monitor wider and add more failure points
Premium Members Ken Nguyen Posted October 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 - Bad location for the wireless Tx. It should be on top of camera. - Bad orientation of the Tx. Should be mounted upright. Ken Nguyen.

Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted October 11, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 Actually, it worked perfectly.
Premium Members Michael Maga Posted October 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 Alan, I think you totally missed the point. Of course they actually work together fine, but they dont "work" well side by side, because that is a terrible place to mount it.

Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted October 12, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted October 12, 2013 I wasn't going through any doorways or anything. It was solid, and I made it through the day just fine. What I meant about the products working well side by side was in reference to some ideological differences on this forum, and that's all. It is funny how many people are ready to jump on a thread like this to bitch about things.
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted October 12, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 12, 2013 so you change your basic build from day to day? that's silly, so is putting a transmitter there, so is this stupid thread
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted October 12, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 12, 2013 I have a paralinx and would not place it here no matter what the build is. This is the reason why I did not buy the crossbow. The me the nebtek solution looks better even if more expensive. I bought the paralinx because my main market is Red epic and I can tap into the HDMI. If I need to plug something else I can always place the paralinx on my Hyperdeck shuttle which does two way converter. At least. Place the crossbow on the back of the monitor with some Velcro or dual lock and place the antenna pointing up. People are not saying that they can't work together because they can. Just that the placement you choose is not ideal.
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted October 12, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 12, 2013 Things are getting too serious in this Off Topic thread. Alan, that build sucks. Put the Crossbow on the back of the monitor with some velcro. Nobody assumed the Crossbow would refuse to power on if connected to a Gen 2 Cinepreordertron. However, the monitor is needlessly wide and looks sloppy. The next best thing to a well balanced, tight rig is a rig that LOOKS tight and clean. Eric: new day/gig, new camera, new build. Sometimes, I fly 1 battery. Sometimes, I fly 2. Sometimes, even 3. Someday, I'll get my rig marked off for how to set up everywhere for each battery configuration. However, dayplaying new gigs all the time means we can't pre-set for everything. If there's time, I'll use your 90 degree test to find db and then set the camera. If not, you build and get to work. Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted October 12, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 12, 2013 Will, No matter what I'm doing, series, day play, commercial the SLED is ALWAYS built the same, that way it flys the same and feels the same.
