Premium Members Bryan Fowler Posted June 18, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 I've had this monitor for a while, and haven't used it much at all. It was my backup monitor, but I have a new backup. It's SD, and has a custom cable for the EFP to supply power and video. (6pin Hirose to the Flyer Multipin) Recently for a shoot, I made a custom cable to supply power, and video using the Flyer's multipin. I'm asking $425 for it. + shipping International buyers are fine, if you pay for shipping with tracking. It comes with: Monitor Flyer to EFP cable Flyer to 4pin / composite video cable (sorry for the crappy photos, if you want more highrez email me and I'll retake them with my brain engaged) for more photos, Visit My Whebshite For fastest response, email me directly. Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 19, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 19, 2009 FYI on Bryan's (unsolicited) behalf, I'll chime in and say that this is a decent display with solid anti-reflective coatings on it, much improved for daylight over a stock mobile TV. I use one on my running rig and find it satisfactory.
Premium Members Yoshua Berkowitz Posted June 19, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 19, 2009 Ok, now im super confuse!!! I asked you about NTSC or PAL becuase i bought a EFP 2 month ago, and i have the same monitor... The user manual say both (NTSC / PAL), but when i turn on the monitor in the screen appears NTSC. I live in Berlin and i don´t have cameras NTSC signal to test, anyway, i connected my power book in NTSC mode and doesn´t work at all!!! With cameras PAL doesn´t work as well!!! Is weird because my monitor has one single cable for power and video... but is not hirose 6pin like yours, is 4 pin!!! This is the problem???? Now im renting another monitor to work, by XLR 4 pin and BCN conector. anyone can help me? the best yosh
Premium Members Bryan Fowler Posted June 19, 2009 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 19, 2009 Thanks Charles! =) Yoshua, I had Tiffen make my cable special for my EFP. How do you power the monitor? You said you connected it to your powerbook. Actually, I think you should start a thread in monitors. Not that I don't want advertising for my monitor, but you will get more help if you recreate this thread there. Good luck though! Premium Members Yoshua Berkowitz Posted June 19, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 19, 2009 Bryan I connected my power book (video signal) to my j-box and i connected the Flyer monitor by 4 pin Hirose to "multipin"· Flyer conector... is a tiffen cable (P/N 250-0134) for power. everybody say that is a great monitor, i will post my questions in section "MONITOR". Good luck, the best Yosh
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted June 20, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 20, 2009 Hmm, I'm not sure if I'm adding anything by agreeing with Charles. This is my back-up monitor, and it is really good. It's PAL / NTSC, and switches automatically. If you power it up without signal, it defaults to NTSC.
