Dynawave VTX-100 , 250 video transmitter update

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your support over the last year and half. Its bin a fun ride.

I have a few technical details to relay about the VTX-100 firmware.

If you are experiencing channel memory loss, send the unit in for a firmware upgrade, NC. The fix for this is firmware version VO1A. When you switch the unit on, it should read VO1A for a second.

New feature in the VO1B firmware includes auto LED display dimming. Good solution instead of that electrical tape on dark sets. Essentially dims the blinding display automatically after 8 seconds and can be relit by pressing either button.

Vibration/shock video tear. Turns out that ceramic makes a good little piezo microphone which is what most of the SMT capacitors are made of. If you are running the VTX on a dolly and see video tear, we will fix. Send the unit in and we'll have it back to you overnight.

Our New Puppies ... now looking for new homes!

The VTX-250 includes a menu system to switch NTSC, PALi, PALg, SecamL, Dim display ON/OFF, Audio subcarrier ON/OFF, and some secret cool stuff. Twist my arm hard enough and we might be able to upgrade your VTX-100 to the 250.

Yes, we are working on an HD-SDI digital transmitter. We have a solution for the short range problem of existing units. Problemo: Its a bit of a PIA getting a 200+ bit stream across the air with no latency and no heat. At this point ... ANALOG rules

Check our site at www.dynawave.ca for a release date on the VTX-5000xxx.

Give us a shout at 604 875-8599 if you'd like to chin wag.

Cheers,

John

Hi everyone,

We have a few VTX-100 and VTX-250 NTSC transmitters still left in stock with price reduced.

Development is moving along with our 8VSB/ATSC HD-SDI transmitter. Prototype is working well so it should be ready soon.

If you have questions, I'd like to hear from you. Our new phone number is indicated below.

Thank you for your support.
