Only times I've encountered PortaBrace is when I shoot ENG, and get one of those soft camera cases. Never tried one of their hard cases before. They are not bad at all, I would say a bit less in terms of quality compared with peli or storm (I have them also so I can compare) but relatively cheaper as well; Also very light, which is good when it's time to pay the extraweight at check ins.
