Does anyone know of a physical visual indicator that distinguishes the Transvideo IIIa Standard from the Superbright? Are they both identical in appearance except for the brightness, or is there a marking or number that would identify a monitor as being one or the other?

If nothing else, call or e-mail Transvideo with the Serial Number. They will know for sure as they keep track.

Done that, and surprisingly they don't. They suggested I find another monitor against which I can compare mine. They also mentioned the anti-reflective coating can significantly dim the image. I'm going to try to find another monitor locally to look at. If that doesn't work, I'll send it to Transvideo to look at themselves.

A subsequent question is now concerning the anti-reflective coating. Would it be better to have a brighter image that may reflect more, or a dimmer image with less reflection. The thing is, even the AR coating reflects. It may be a duller, less defined reflection, but I can still see myself and other objects. Would a bare screen be that much worse? I look at my iPhone, for example. It's definitely got a glossy finish, but can still be seen without much difficulty in most outdoor situations.
