I can do one or two batteries either in 12 or 24v mode (obviously the latter requires 2). Unlike most production rigs I made the battery plates so that they can be separately placed anywhere along the rods or can be removed, which opens up a lot of possibilities for balance. Kevin: That's a Cinetape, as you guessed a focus assist device. You can see the readout velcroed to the mattebox. With the Preston HU3, the information is also displayed on the handset readout.
