Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted November 23, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 23, 2009 Just had a week with the Panasonic Varicam 3700, the HD version with the P2 cards. While it has a nice picture, I found the balance very awkward, specially with that HD Canon zoomlens (7,5 to ?) that is as long and big as a Canon 300mm, and with a similar size front lens. Together with the IDX powercube and a chrosziel mattebox, it was almost impossible to mount the camera on my plates: they are not long enough and that is the first time I have seen this. Very front heavy, since there is no tape mechanism anymore. And you almost want to go back to those old style NiCd-bricks to get the balance right! It balances just like an F23, F35 or Genocide in two piece mode
