First forumpost, first problem:) Do any of you have any experience with powering and Arri SR3 from the 24 v lemo(3pin) connector on the Clipper 324 ?. The reason i`m not using the onboard Sr3 battery is to reduce the weigt on my g50 arm. My consern: Sr3 manual “REF: The Camera is intended for use with 24 v DC. The Acceptable voltage range are from 20 to 32 v DV. If the voltage trops below 18 v or rises above 34 v, a protective device prevents the camera from being turned on. “ It says that the accepted voltage range is 20 to 32 v. My clipper delivers 33,28 volt with 2x steadicamcubes. But as the battery manual says the volt will drop to 32,20 within the next minute in use, and it does. My Consern is that 32,20 v is very close to to the 32 acceptable voltage range. Thanks for many great topis on the forum, i`v learn a lot from that. Richard James Lewis Posted February 1, 2010 Report Share Posted February 1, 2010 You will be fine powering the camera off the sled, and you will have other things sapping power too, follow focus, video sender etc. I'd personally keep the battery on tho, the G-50 will be fine, and the extra weight is only an advantage. Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted February 1, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 1, 2010 I have never had a problem with it on the C24 and PowerCubes.. the SR3 is built like a tank.
