The post has laser engraved 1" and 1/10th" increments on both sections. Supplied with two tools-free lever clamp rings to permit adjustment but with a guaranteed lock-off. This post has no slot cut down the lower/inner tube section which, as you would all know, provides much greater rigidity to the sled. The telescoping extension has an 11¾" range. The lower end of the post has a bayonet socket, lever and clamp for fast attachment. The bayonet design is compatible with a Steadyrig Lower Junction Box, simple modification will be required to fit to other rigs. The top of the post also has a bayonet arrangement which provides a fast, rigid and positive lock-off. The Upper J Box has been manufactured to receive industry standard Lemo and BNC Sockets (PRO compatible). The base of the Upper J Box is machined so that a Lemo socket can be installed, allowing the Lemo plug at the top of the loom/cable harness to connect. We were manufacturing Centre Posts with hard-mounted Upper J Boxes. We decided to manufacture more modular sleds with a bayonet arrangement. Going through the design and first machining processes resulted in prototype and set up errors and also minor design changes. This Post and J Box is a fully operational unit. If you don't mind a few small cosmetic issues, then this equipment may well suit your needs. After completing the machining of the Junction Box, we felt confident that we had all issues resolved. We then went ahead with the anodising and engraving. When we did a final, full assembly we came to realise that there was insufficient room within the Junction Box to turn the nuts on the back of some Lemos. To solve this problem we had some additional machining done, inside the box, after the anodising. The top of the Upper J Box, on the outside, unfortunately was anodised with a matt finish and there are also slight blemishes on the anodising of the two blue levers. Because this item has some manufacturing defects the asking price is US$1950.00. The catalog price for this item is US$2250.00. We are including, at no cost, a new wiring harness/Loom that is capable of HD-SDI video. ** This junction Box does not come with sockets and is not wired.
