Premium Members JamieSilverstein Posted April 12, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2010 I'm busy and I live on the east coast, so pardon me for being out of touch, but, I was wondering what the heck happened to the PRO 2 Landing pad. I'm sure that that is not the proper name, but I think you all know what I am talking about. You know, the thing that you can put on the bottom of your PRO base and let the sled rest on. To my way of looking at it, it's a really cool product that will protect my PRO 3 base, as well as allow me a great place to put additional weight when needed. So needless to say, I am interested in finding out more. Thanks in advance for your help and insights. Jamie
Premium Members Jerry Franck Posted April 12, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2010 Jamie, Contact Steve Fracol: steve@fracol.com He's the manufacturer of this. He's currently offering version two. I have the original base that he had made last year. It's great!! On every shoot I sit down my rig somewhere because the docking stand can't go there. Especially with heavy payloads I would not feel comfortable to sit it down. I'm sure you'll damage your AB mounts at some point, without this nice addition... Also, search the forum, steve and ron had a topic with photos... Cheers, Jerry
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted April 13, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Hi Jamie I have been flying with Steve's prototype of the new version on a few pilots and really like it. It's much lighter and more flexible because you can put whatever plate you want on it (or leave the plate off). It now works with the HC-90's, and without a plate anything will fit. Here's a link to a recent thread with a few snap shots of the "foot". http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=11497 enjoy! rb
