Garret Maguire
Here's a pic of a mount I made to attach a Steadicam Provid 2 to a Honda ATV. I've tried it out on a Honda 400 and 500 with great results.

Premium Members Afton Grant Posted August 1, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 1, 2010 Have you got weights on the front of that thing? Looks like the back is sagging quite a bit. Even moderate acceleration could send that thing ass over tea kettle..... or maybe tea kettle over ass.... what part is the tea kettle? No weights required, we kept it lite using a Steadicam Provid and used lite box and angle iron in the structure. The Honda 500 has a complete re-designed rack with weights running to the front and the 400 was left as is. Both drivers are experienced in using ATVs in forestry and mountains and said some of the sprayers used in forestry are heavier. My advice is get an experienced driver to handle the ATV, we hit speeds of 45-50km on the 500 moving back and forth during a marathon and no front lift.
