Moderators Janice Arthur Posted January 7, 2005 Moderators Report Share Posted January 7, 2005 I just bought an EZ-up tent after being caught out in the rain on a job and getting stuck with a tiny portion of the AC's tent. I never liked that they needed several people to move and that the sides have to go on separately but that's all I thought was out there. (and they're heavy to transport) So, on the very next job I find what I should have bought. www.pelsue.com. they make the little (or big) tents that lineman/phone repairs/ etc. use. Its self contained, with the doors, springs into place, very portable, really quick set up. and you can get them in the 6, 8, or 10 ft size. the 6 or 8 ft size will nicely cover a magliner and rig on its stand and you with some head room even. This is under the heading of live and learn. You all can now jump ahead. Janice
TJ Williams
Great Find. Just got back fm a job in Alaska, an Seattle is not that dry just now either. Anti Water is a big deal up here! My pop up was getting well worn anyway. Thanks TJ
Premium Members Frederic Chamberland Posted January 9, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 9, 2005 Check Ebay frequently by typing "pelsue", I just got a Pelsue 6' pop-up for 400$ Including shipping on Ebay, a bit dirty but fully functionnal.... It is the best size since nobody else will want to jump in and is very portable. The 8' is a cadillac but people WILL share unless you have 3 magliners in it... I am having mine modified with a zipper at the back of the tent so I can use it at the back of my truck with the gate open. A very nice investment since I was tired of always asking production to get one with the answer everybody knows... Fly safe and rest protected from the elements....
