Winner of the Digital Video Professional Association Best of Show Awards NAB2004! The Steadicam Flyer was created for today's video production. It incorporates the same revolutionary Steadicam arm design that won the coveted DV Professional Association's "Best of Show" at NAB. Designed by Garrett Brown, the inventor of the original Steadicam JR, the Flyer arm is engineered for affordable mass-production but it's tough and capable, with an astonishing, ball-bearing smooth, thirty-inch, top-to-bottom range of travel. For the first time, operators of light rigs can enjoy the same feel and tool-free performance as our top ,000 arm. If you close your eyes, you can't tell the difference (except "That" muscle won't be sending you the usual telegrams!). The frictionless, silky smooth Iso-elastic arm boasts a 30" double-section lifting range with a tool-free one-touch lift adjustment for each section. It is supplied outfitted with the newl ergonomically designed Steadicam vest. The Flyer includes a 12-volt system. Lightweight design, ease of use, and quality are why these Steadicam rigs are perfect for your video production. This is a genuine Steadicam Flyer purchased for a documentary project which was subsequently cancelled. The item is entirely unused save for our testing which revealed it to be in perfect working order. It was purchased second hand from a friend, a highly reputable Steadicam operator, who owned it since new. The kit is complete, basically everything that can be seen from the photos, and in addition there are the two PAGlok 14.8V 6.5Ah 95Wh batteries which I understand do not come as standard, along with the PAG freelancer battery Charger 12 - 14.8V (1.5-10Ah) which comes with its own UK mains lead and has a space for both batteries, there is also the remote for the LCD which can be seen in the photo of the case. Condition: So essentially the kit includes everything that is in the photos plus the original cloth bag for the Steadicam arm which is not shown but in perfect condition. The rig has a few marks to the paintwork as can be seen in the photos, but is in perfect working order, and is ready to be taken straight onto set. The original steadicam case in the last picture does need a little attention, as the stitching on one side has come away and has been taped temporarily with a new piece of fabric over the top, but should be restitched or replaced with a hard case, whichever is most suitable to the application. The only other point of note is that there is a small indent on the battery level display of one of the batteries but it does not affect the function of the battery level display at all. POSTAGE: I am rather new to Ebay and have no idea how much this would cost to post owing to the varying pricing per country and the size and weight of the item (some 25 kilos I would imagine at least), so have put in a rough figure of £250 as a worst case although I have been quoted as low as £180 for western Europe on a four day courier service depending on the final dimensions of the item once fully packaged. I am happy to post the item in whichever way is preferable to you as the buyer, i.e. express service if necessary, but would need to pass on the cost for doing so to yourself, if for example the price is much lower when I come to mail it by your desired method, I will be happy to reimburse you for the difference in cost, so essentially I am flexible in that respect.
