Premium Members James Davis Posted February 28, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 28, 2012 Technically a non-steadicam related question (apologies in advance) but as I also work as a jib assistant, I have a query for anyone more knowledgeable about this device, or hopefully for Jim if he is around. In theory because the device is designed to take an input from an 8 pin controller, could it also take a direct connection from a jimmy Jib hand-hand unit via the 8 pin connection to control a zoom motor? The operator I work with has been looking for a solution when using cine lenses to restore the zoom control that he has when using broadcast cameras and lenses. I think he will be giving bartech a shout also but if anyone else knows in advance that would be great, thanks. James
Premium Members JimBartell Posted February 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 29, 2012 The quick answer is yes it should be able to accept that input. Assuming the BUZ and Jimmy Jib control are both the same type, Canon or Fuji. Jim Bartell
