Premium Members Thomas English Posted September 29, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 29, 2013 Most operators prefer their monitor tabled or viewed from below. Especially considering we do more tilting down than up. I only tilt my monitor to view from above under certain rare lighting conditions. Is this panel fixed to view from above? Or can we factory request it with the panel inversed? Chris s response implies this isn't possible but has anyone actually asked transvideo? Premium Members chris fawcett Posted September 29, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 29, 2013 Thomas, I see it differently—literally. Viewing angles are fixed, so you set your monitor tilt to cope with your various tilts. That leaves the default position dependant on the optimum viewing angle of the monitor. In your preference, the monitor is tabled, inviting reflections from sky and lamps. Anyway, sure, Transvideo will build it how you want it. Premium Members JobScholtze Posted October 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 Yep, like you said Chris, got conformation that my monitor glass IS bounded. The only thing needs covering are the knobs, WICH jaques promised me he would design a waterproof one. Cool, very cool.
Premium Members Hervé Colosio Posted October 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 14, 2013 I can tell about my experience using the transvideo cinemonitor sbl 6 and 8 under the rain and with salt water near me and not one time , many times, many years. i made lot of live work and sometimes the rain comes from nowhere and put you like in a shower in 5 minutes. i have never had problems with this monitor , i was afraid , because you are in live , and you can do absolutely nothing , just pray but the transvideo cinemonitor never let me down. when i know it's going to rain , i use plastic kitchen film and gaffer but not on the glass of the monitor , i let the glass free , absolutely no water comes inside, the glass is absolutely waterproof. i've use it also near salt water many times and the problem was not with the monitor but with the G50 arm  as the big screws/bolts have rust all over the arm. the transvideos monitors got stainless screws :) herve

Richard James Lewis
I just had my eSBL changed to the 2000 nit version. Jacques and Nadege were super quick and helpful, turning it around in 3 just days. Great solid product with great service. Looks brighter than before (as you might expect) I shall test it out tomorrow. Initially side by side my Cinetronic doesn't maybe look quite as bright, but the AR on the Cinetronic still seems to be a little more helpful. Looking forward to the Cinetronic level turning up and maybe I can actually start using that monitor regularly too!

Premium Members Lawrence Karman Posted October 31, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 31, 2013 I believe there is now an option for the Cinetronic to replace the LCD panel with the same 2000 nit version as the Transvideo. Premium Members Thomas English Posted December 8, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 8, 2013 I have this 2k nit 6 inch monitor now and have to say its fantastic. Really amazing. The inbuilt bubble is great and it works in HD with all the cameras. I work it tabled (as standard from Transvideo) but a lot of people reverse the Matrix. I have finally got rid of my downconverter off my main Sled.
Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted October 16, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 16, 2014 Anyone have their "Old" Evolution HD6 SBL or eSBL for sale? I don't need a pelican case, or the BNC or the Mini HDMI that comes with them. Just the monitor
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted October 16, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 16, 2014 Andrew Jansen has one for sale. You can upgrade any Gen HD6 from SBL to E-sbl, but only the Evo Gen3 (7.x) to X-sbl....
