Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted December 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 Saw this at IBC and pretty much laughed my ass off when I saw the handset... Holy Ergonomic fail batman
Premium Members James Puli Posted December 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 Please correct me if im wrong, but it seems Red are re-badging the Element Technica unit which was on display at Cinegear this year. Like Eric said, ergonomics of the handset were and still are terrible. One of the main things that let them down at Cinegear was that none of the people demoing the unit knew how to use it and couldn't answer simple questions about it. When I tried to fix it myself, it was stupidly over complicated to do anything and was annoying me, so i stopped caring and grabbed another beer! If that was the response I got at a trade show, imagine a focus pullers response when taking it on set! Think i'll hang onto my Preston! Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted December 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 Red bought Element Technica from 3ality this, so yes, it's the very same system.
Kemalettin Sert
Pricing is more reasonable than other 3 motor remote focus systems.
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted December 15, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 15, 2013 Pricing is more reasonable than other 3 motor remote focus systems. Doesn't make it a good follow focus
