Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted April 12, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2014 I need a variety of clips of different operators flying the rig either on-set or during practice to show as an illustration and teaching tool. All clips are welcome but I would definitely like some higher action shots of running, stairs and / or obstacles. I don't need the clip, just a simple link posted here to it via an online source that I can play it from. Or if you prefer not to post it here you can send it to me. I will not be reposting anyplace else just showing to students. Thanks! Robert
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted April 12, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2014 .I have a good deal of footage of me in don juan, no rig though. **Since voting for Pedro, I noticed that he has more footage of himself in the last few yrs than there exists of Garret from the past 4 decades. Maybe he'll chime in
Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted April 13, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 13, 2014 (edited) I've got the Live TV demo w/ Director's track on YouTube: And plenty of clips synced to video that didn't make the cut. I also have a variety of raw GoPro footage from commercials and such on the hard drives too. It's all rig mounted stuff. Message me if I you want any of it. No action/explosives type stuff tho.. Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted April 14, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 14, 2014 Love the Matrix/steadi op combo look...and the angry assistant looks almost as scary as running through the field of explosives.
Premium Members Randy Nolen Posted April 15, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 15, 2014 There's a clip of a scene I did showing the Steadicam in action on the PBS Series "American Cinema", Segment is on Director Lawrence Kasdan & his movie "Grand Canyon". It's a dream sequence and shows a behind the scenes shot of the Steadicam chasing the actress who is chasing a train then becomes her POV as she catches up with the train and looks into train window at her Loved Ones. What the behind the scenes shot doesn't show is that I had to chase her up a long ramp before we emerge onto the train platform & then chase the train! NOT Simon Blouin
Hi Robert! You can check on youtube, there's plenty of B-Roll behind the scenes stuff under the channel ''MOVIES Coming Soon''. To find the videos I'm talking about you gotta research ''B-Roll'' into the channel. Here's an example of American Hustle with a lot of steadicam in it : Enjoy! Jordan Keslow
Hi Robert, Here is a link to a video of Eric Schilling in the backlot of WB shooting on 9/17/2011 at 5:41 AM ! This is in our 16th hour on set and he had several of these shots in the rain with very tight lenses. I remember the dailies looked great! Great professionalism on his part. He was a great inspiration for me to get into steadicam...especially shots like these! http://youtu.be/00u0yN8jkyE
