Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted May 31, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 31, 2016 I have a Cinema Products motor that experiences some chatter when used with an analog BFD. both with the thumb wheel and the handset. It's likely a dirty pot, but does anyone have any tips or resources on cleaning or replacing it?
Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted May 31, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 31, 2016 I sent mine to Peter Hoare and he spent months sourcing replacement POTs and trying to fix it. He really tried everything. The end result was it's unrepairable. I gave up on it. Now I have Heden motors. Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted May 31, 2016 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted May 31, 2016 Does Heden still make analog motors?
Moderators Louis Puli SOC Posted May 31, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted May 31, 2016 Hi David Heden stopped repairing Analogue motors at least 2 years ago .
Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted May 31, 2016 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted May 31, 2016 Does anyone still make and repair analog motors? Digital isn't really an option since this is used mostly with a g zoom for live work.
Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted May 31, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 31, 2016 That's a great question I'd also like to know the answer too. I know Peter Hoare can repair M-One but are they still manufactured? And I'm not 100% on this but I think he can repair Heden as well. Don't quote me. I use my G-Zoom with BFD same as David, so I'm sort of in the same boat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted June 1, 2016 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 1, 2016 I was looking at the G-focus amp and the Stanton motors, but that's $1900 for the amp, motor, and adapter, which is about the cost of buying a mint analog motor. Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted June 1, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 1, 2016 I did have Jim Bartell modify my BFD with a hi/lo switch so it can run Stanton motors. He made me a motor cable for it too. That's primarily what I use on Live now. Make use of what you got rather than buy redundant systems. Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted June 1, 2016 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 1, 2016 How much did the mod and cable cost if you don't mind me asking?

Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted June 1, 2016 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 1, 2016 That's quite reasonable. I'll give Jim a call tomorrow.
