Paul You might want to try Peter Abraham I bought a set of POM post from him a few years ago. He still might have a few left. paul magee Philadelphia, PA

PaulEdwards
Paul, Joe, thanks for the info. and prompt reply. ...and Joe, no it's not me shooting 'Location; Location' but you're not the first person to ask that! I can't remember the last time I got a credit on a TV job although with the speed they roll them through, it hardly matters anyway because you can't read them....quick, quick, run the commercials before they switch over!! Thanks again. Paul

Premium Members Daniel Abboud Posted June 9, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 9, 2007 I have a IIIa arm (5/8" bore in the head) and a masters Gimble (3/4" bore in handle). I recall once seeing a IIa arm that was modified with a new head that held a 3/4" arm post. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know who might do this mod?? thanks! -Daniel. Daniel- Just a note: the arm post should not be 3/4" for the Master/Ultra size gimbal, but .740, +.000, ?.002 (after anodizing). So be sure this is the spec for whomever makes this part for you. Also, FYI, As for Paul Edwards' original question (a prompt reply on my part), Tiffen makes the part: P/N 250-7975 Arm Post ? Master/Ultra Arm to EFP/3A/PRO All Ultra & Master Series ? $175.00 on their accessories list. (It cannot be turned around and used the other way, though). Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted June 11, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 11, 2007 Hi folks. Two reasons I no longer sell those Peace Of Mind posts. ( P.O.M. ). 1. I am now the Director of Technical Services for The Tiffen Company and work in the Steadicam area. So, no side-jobbing ! 2. I ran out a while back. We sell the part Jerry Holway described. It's identical to what my machinist used to make. Best to all, Peter Abraham New York
Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted June 11, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 11, 2007 Hi Peter Do Tiffen not still sell the adapter arm post in reverse, i.e. 5/8" arm to MS / Ultra gimbal? I know I've seen a photo of one, 2/3 of it is 5/8" and the top 1/3rd of it is the bulkier Master size, to fit into the gimbal. Good news with the job, hope all goes well for you. Does this mean the end of the infamous Zalex tally lights? (Mine is still going strong, by the way - never lets me down!) J.
