Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted February 28, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 28, 2006 Has anybody modified the cable on their Bebob Zoe zoom control in any way? I'm not entirely satisfied with mine. I'm on a job at the moment and my controller devloped a mind of its own today - the lens would crash in by itself whenever the zoom control was plugged in, and then it stopped working all together. Closer inspection revealed that there was some bits of cable ends poking out where the cable enters the lens connector, so the thing was obviously shorting out. I'll open it up when I'm back home and fix it, but for the rest of the week I'm VTR & zoom-less. Has anybody else had similar problems or fixed the cable issue in any way? I've used the controller for over a year, but the cable just doesn't seem to be up to much at both the zoom rocker and the lens connector ends. A more sturdy / durable fix is needed. Anyone? Bebob will gladly send you a wire diagram. I use this thing as well. I strongly feel that this control should have a jack not a cable, so that we can use thin jumpers that we will always have backups for. Fred made me a cable that I planed on working into this idea, just never did it. If the unit had a conector, we would have the choice of what ever type of wire that fit our needs. BLUETOOTH.... Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted March 4, 2006 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 4, 2006 Thanks for the replies, chaps I'll look into it, and get hold of pinouts etc and fix it for the short term, but I may be in touch soon Fred (I'll be needing some more cables for other stuff anyway) Cheers Jason

Premium Members Peter Milanov Posted May 24, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 24, 2008 Jason, or anybody else... did you get the wirediagram for the Bebob remote? I kind of ripped out most of the cables from my Zoe III today. If I open up the controller this is what still attached: from left to right: Rec: 1:yellow 2:grey Ret: 1:xx 2:xx zoom: 1:blue 2:xx 3:xx Cables unatached (to go to the xx): green, white, brown, pink. Or maybe if somebody have the pinout for a Canon videolens zoom connector, I can go from there. Thanks in advance.
Premium Members Koen Wattez Posted May 26, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 26, 2008 (edited) Here is the diagram for the Zoë III for Canon. I had a little problem and Norbert Hans of Bebob send me the diagram in the hour. Premium Members Peter Milanov Posted May 26, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 26, 2008 Thank you Koen, but that didn´t really help as it was the controller side that was ripped. Anyway, I got the attached picture from Hans at Bebop if anyone else need it. This is for the Zoe III 8C and 12F. For Zoe 8F flip white and brown. Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted May 26, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted May 26, 2008 Hi Peter & Koen, Sorry, I only just read this post. My Zoe has actually just blown up and seems to be creeping all the time, and the speed dial has also apparently broken too. So the attached info will probably help me with fixing it - thanks! Fortunately I have another Zoe, and a J7 to work with in the meantime. Cheers J
