Premium Members Lars Erik Posted March 15, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 Hello again, just found this Wevi wireless video transmitter on the web. Has anyone used it? Is it worth investing in? http://www.wevi.tv/
Premium Members Chris Konash Posted March 15, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 This unit looks nice, transmitts on the new wireless lan bandwidth may be an issue though. I'm still searching for someone that has "The-Boxx" microwave system and has used it in many applications. But if someone out there has used this new "Cam-wave" system I'm more than interested to hear about it! Thanks Chris "still searching for a good wireless system" Konash
Premium Members Lars Erik Posted March 19, 2006 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 19, 2006 Hello Chris, sorry but still quite new to Steadicam (but been operating for 6 months now), but what are the issues of using the wireless lan bandwidth system? Premium Members Chris Konash Posted March 19, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 19, 2006 Lars, I may have said that a bit prematurely, I have never seen this wireless system work but it leads me to believe that here in New York the 802.11 Wireless transmitting protocol is already very busy. I would have to do some more research to see how prone this unit would be to interference in a city environment. I know that broadband internet is very "bandwidth" hungry and I'm sure that this wireless system will have it's place in the industry I'm just wondering how it will do in NY. If I get the opportunity to test one I will be sure to post it here and let everyone know how it does. I will be also attempting to test out "The-Boxx" microwave system. If anyone has used some of these new systems please let me know what you think.
