LeighWanstead
Hi matt, I never say that I have years of profesional experience. I just say safety is the most important thing to you, not the money. Is that basic stuff for any thing? Do you need years of profesional experience to know that? Richard James Lewis
Well said Matt. I never say that I have years of profesional experience. Then stop offering "advice" on a professional forum. All the best, -Rick.
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted March 27, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 27, 2006 Hi Efletcher, What pain do you have with back mount vest? I don't feel any pain in my back mount vest. May I ask if you feel any back pain in your front mount vest? May I ask why you said that "I was unaware that you bought a full size rig leigh. When did this happen?"? I never bought any full size rig whatever. I manufacture SmoothArm. Regards Leigh Leigh, Please Stop giving advice, you are WAY out of your element here. This is a board of PRO's using PRO equipment. Just because you built "Something" doesn't qualify you as an expert. In-fact looking at your demo video and behind the scene's video proves that you didn't listen to the advice proffered on this board and don't really understand steadicam. I agree with Matt. until you get a few years experience PLEASE stop talking like you know and understand. The dynamics of a 24lbs sled with a 44lbs camera is VERY different than that 12 lbs thing you have. Honestly it's time for you to read more and post less, you might learn something

Can you say in detail and direct me to the forum post web url link you mentioned that the advice offered on this board I don't listen? I look forward to hearing from you. Premium Members Erik Brul Posted March 27, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 27, 2006 Hi Efletcher, Thank you for your time to watching my demo video and post your comments. Can you say in detail and direct me to the forum post web url link you mentioned that the advice offered on this board I don't listen? I look forward to hearing from you. TIA Regards Leigh Leigh, On several forums which handle Steadicam and related products you have posted over hunderds or even thousends of messages. Several people have responded nicely to you to give all kinds of information concerning Steadicam. People like Charles Papert , Mikko Wilson, Terry Thompson and many others explained how you operate in the demo's, what should be done to improve your operating etc etc. But over the last 2 years.. it looks like you did not learn very much of all information that has been given. Maybe a Steadicam or Glidecam Workshop is for you the place to go. Then you can discuss the operating with the teachers present ? Maybe they can convince you what should be improved etc.. ?! Just my 2 cents.. Best, Erik
LeighWanstead
Hi Erik, Thanks for the suggestion. But the issue for me is that it will be conflict of interest. If I attend Tiffen Steadicam or Glidecam Workshop to learn their skill and later come back to get their market share. It will be unfair to Tiffen or Glidecam. That is my main concern. I don't want to do this kind of thing. Hope you understand. I do listen to all the advice everyone gave me and I tried to adopt it as much as I can except some nice lady as model suggestion or reference. It will be unfair to Tiffen or Glidecam. You know Leigh, I don’t think you will have to worry there. I'm sure Tiffen will know when they are beaten, and withdraw from the market quietly. I'm sure Garrett is sick of this whole Steadicam thing already. But seriously for a second. Do yourself a favour and take a workshop; no one will think less of you when you take over. Good luck in the future. -Rick.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG that is the funniest thing I have read here in a LONG time. Knock yourself out Leigh. Oh BTW did you steal Klassens Market share when you ripped off the Backmount design?
LeighWanstead
Your statement is wrong. FYI Charles King told me that backmount design is not invented by Klassens. Klassens does not hold any patent on back mount vest to my best knowledge. Klassens do not owns the Backmount design. Here is the web url. http://hbsboard.com/index.php/topic,1633.m...1.html#msg15531 I have nothing to do with Klassens. Premium Members Mikko Wilson Posted March 27, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 27, 2006 Wow. Just wow. Eric didn't say that the BM was invented by Klassen, he expressed his deep concern that you may force them out of business with your original design that you stole from them. Your above linked thread highlights where you asked if there was a patent of if you could freely rip off the design. You did the same here too. Thread for your reference: http://www.steadicamforum.com/forums/index...findpost&p=9958 - Mikko ... in disbelief
LeighWanstead
Hi Mikko, May I ask what my original design I stole from them? Since when someone else makes chairs and do not have a patent on that chair, others can't make chairs? TIA Regards Leigh Eric didn't say that the BM was invented by Klassen, he expressed his deep concern that you may force them out of business with your original design that you stole from them. LeighWanstead
So you mean I should not check a feature has patent or not, just do it, right? Glad that you are not lawyer. Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted March 28, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 28, 2006 Leigh, All I have to say is WOW... You REALLY think that your "Thing" competes with Pro Level equipment? And that the results that you show on your site are good?
