The 2005 edition is full of Steadicam shots.., so did I miss something in 2006 ? Just wondering, Fly save, Erik
Premium Members Andrew Jansen Posted September 2, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 2, 2006 There were a total of 3 Steadicam Op's working that night. Curtis Dunne, Tori Livia, and myself. Was a fun night ! Andrew
Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted September 2, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 2, 2006 Did you happen to see Osvaldo's "Friend" Sixx rear his ugly head yet again! I wasn't watching the show but heard. You can actually see this bozo grab the mike away from the award winner. http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2006/ Under Music videos on the left under the video screen choose music video awards on demand (2nd on the list) Then scroll to the bottom. It's the second clip from the bottom called "Panic." I want an awards presenter to be armed with a tazer and the next time this clown shows up the presenter Zaps him! Now that would be entertaining. Give Oz his money back!!
Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted September 3, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 3, 2006 I happened to turn on the TV just moments before that award and saw that guy. They edited out some of it too. I wonder what he said. I rewinded it and saw Jennifer Lopez telling him off but they cut the sound by that point. On a different note, how GREAT was "The Killers" closing act? Them boys have some talent!!

Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted September 3, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 3, 2006 MTV shortened (edited) the clip on MTV website!!! They did have the unedited verrsion as of yesterday morning. Funny that they did that. The guy said his name was Sixx, said that MTV didn't want to do "his" show or some such non-sense then plugged his website. http://mtv6000.com/ that's when security finally showed up and took him off stage. anyway, back to steadicam talk.... Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted September 3, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 3, 2006 Here's the link to the J Lo - Sixx episode... http://youtube.com/watch?v=3-B1YlGvozM&...ted&search= Andrew Thanks for that, but it still did not show everything that was said. Even in that clip you can clearly see that they cut the audio to the mics as J. Lo is talking to the guys of Panic at the Disco and you can't hear her. And the guy from Panic starts talking and you still can't hear him, the first thing you hear when they turn the mics back on is, "trying to steal our thunder." Also, on the MTV RE-broadcast, you see a different camera angle than what they showed on that YouTube clip and you clearly see J.Lo saying something to that Sixx guy as the security is leading him away. Interesting none the less. I like David's thought, they should of tazed the guy on stage on live TV now that would of been really entertaining and would surely give guys like that something to think about before they pull a stunt like that again.
