Premium Members WillArnot Posted September 26, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 26, 2006 HI ALL, 2" Gorelock Fork only - ie. you need the rest of the Gore docking bracket. This fork is in excellent condition and includes two docking rings. It is for a 2" diameter post. It was made by Tom Gleason before Jerry Hill would make the 2" size. I have changed my docks and this one has ended up spare. As you know, the Gorelock style dock is THE BoMB! Premium Members WillArnot Posted December 7, 2006 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 This got "SOLD" but the rings didn't fit where the customer wanted to put them. Measure twice. Cut once. Now I'm selling again. I don't know how I can be more clear. THE RINGS WILL FIT A 2" DIAMETER POST. Excellent condition. If you want another setup ie. another fork and 2 rings - I believe Alec Jarnagin may be selling his set up shortly as well. Contact us. Mine are ready to ship immediately. Premium Members Jeff Muhlstock SOC Posted December 7, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 Will, I am curious about this sudden availability of 2" rings. Have you come up with a better solution? I have the 2", 4 stage MK-V post. One small issue I have is the docking ring that comes with it, is set permanently so when I mount a ring for gorelock, I have to go beneath the existing ring from MK-V. Because of this I loose about 3/4 of an inch of gimbal position at the top (pretty valuable real-estate). Any thoughts? Jeff
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted December 7, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 Will, Thanks for the plug. YES, MINE ARE FOR SALE TOO (SAME SET UP). I don't want to compete with Will so when his sells, mine will hit the market (or if you need two set ups - this is certainly cheaper than buying two new ones). Thanks. Premium Members Thomas English Posted December 16, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 16, 2006 Yeah Jeff, I have the same thoughts with regards to using the mk-v 4 stage and gore lock. I was thinking of having the middle of my gore rings bored out a bit so it would fit over my mk-v docking ring. Let me know if you come up with anything. Premium Members Howard J Smith Posted December 16, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 16, 2006 Hi Thomas / Jeff No need for any of the re bore etc. Jerry Hill already makes it for the 2" 4 stage post. You want the 2.125" (I believe), this was desgined by Jerry and myself to sit just under the MK-V dock, but still on the metal, so you loose no height. - You use the normal 2" for low mode. Please see Jerry Hills site. Please email me off forum if you need any more info. (howard@mk-v.com) All the best Howard
