bobgilles
In the final minutes Rocky, you can clearly see the steadi op in the master shots, it is almost as if the director wanted Garrett in the shots. It looks like a Panaglide with the huge battery at the bottom of the stage. This is probably already been covered, are there any Panasleds still in existence???? No that's a "Steadicam35" The first production Steadicam. it was a hard mounted Arri 2C with it's motor at the bottom of the sled and the monitor up top by the camera. Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted November 29, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 29, 2006 Here a picture: http://www.steadicamforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=196 It looks like Garrett liked black and white strips in the 70-ies and 80-ies, he wears a similar while working on Indiana Jones... bobgilles
It is a bit ironic that the future of Steadicam is starting to look more like Garrett's original running style rigs, hopefully the days of the 74 pound monster sleds are coming to an end!
