Dan I think you need a separate device for playback though. No?
Premium Members nick franco Posted February 11, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 11, 2007 From the spec sheet "Power source 110-240V AC/DC Power supply". Yikes that's gonna take alot of 9 volts wired together!
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 The demo-video shows very clear that you do not need a playback device, it IS a playback devise too, working with normal analog, composite video input and output. The remark about power supply....... well, think before you post......... It will have a AC to DC power supply, meaning you have that little wall-plug transformer that gives a low voltage DC. something that can be substituted for a powersupply that comes of 12-14 volts (car battery adapter. All in all a promising device, not expensive because the main component, the storage is NOT included and for a reasonable recording time on a reasonable quality you need Gb's, in whatever format. The prices of the storage are falling too, so it is a good option. Now what i found with many types, the user interface is the main problem/hassle. It can take a lot of button pushing to get what you want, but maybe this one has improved. When i see it here in the Electronic Malls, i will try to test it. Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 I have on and it is not at all what we are looking for. A ridiculous number of step to initiate a recording and AWFUL recording quality.
