working in a soccer match

Hi friends!. I need a little help and some councils.

Next weeck-end I´ll work in a very important soccer match: Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. It will be my first time at this kind of work, and I´ve some query about. If I have to walk on the grass... Have I to take specials shoes or isn´t necesary?. Now, at Spain is raining.. and normaly sport shoes can slide on the grass.... I don´t know. If some one have worked in this.... Welcome all kind of councils...

Hi Amando, yes I would get some sprigged shoes for the wet grass.

Are you running the whole sideline or just half?

Soccer is very hard to keep up with as ?the ball always beets the man.? (Coaching truism about passing the ball :) )

I?ve done a lot of Rugby but it is easier as they play patterns. In soccer the ball can go anywhere at speed!!! The few soccer games I?ve done we were mainly shooting pre-match, half time, the player?s benches, throw-in?s (if you get lucky) the crowd and (very cool) corners.

Find out just how much they expect of you. If they are being realistic.

 

Are you cabled? That makes a big difference.

Three things to make life better on the sidelines

 

1) Comfortable Soccer Cleats

2) Rain Gear for you and the rig

3) RF transmitter, Link system is the best for SD or HD, as Stephen said cabled will definitely limit you

Hi Stephen. I´ll shot the player come up to the champ and along the match, I´ll be in a corner. And I´ve around 15-25 mts to walk, along 90 min., but only when the game was in my side.
